“He gets off on it.” -WHI

The only thing Obama has taken a real interest in are the drones. Apparently he loves those drone attacks. Thinks they’re cool – how they fly in and just blow the sh-t out of people. No fuss. No muss. President Obama gets off on it. The same guy who was so concerned with giving those GITMO fellas a nice citizen trial because he was concerned with their rights – he loves blowing the hell out of people. A real power trip for him apparently. So much so the military brass are becoming increasingly uneasy. -White House Insider: October, 2011
WHITE HOUSE INSIDER: “President Obama Gets Off On It”
And today in the New York Times it is revealed via the Mainstream Media how Barack Obama refers to drone killings as “an easy call” and how military officials have grown increasingly uncomfortable with the ease and enthusiasm exhibited by a president so willing to utilize drone technology – technology that related reports suggest is now being prepared for use within the United States:

15 Qaeda suspects in Yemen with Western ties. The mug shots and brief biographies resembled a high school yearbook layout. Several were Americans. Two were teenagers, including a girl who looked even younger than her 17 years.
Read more in News

…Mr. Obama has placed himself at the helm of a top secret “nominations” process to designate terrorists for kill or capture, of which the capture part has become largely theoretical.

…In interviews with The New York Times, three dozen of his current and former advisers described Mr. Obama’s evolution since taking on the role, without precedent in presidential history, of personally overseeing the shadow war with Al Qaeda.

They describe a paradoxical leader who shunned the legislative deal-making required to close the detention facility at Guantánamo Bay in Cuba, but approves lethal action without hand-wringing.

…even when it comes to killing an American cleric in Yemen, a decision that Mr. Obama told colleagues was “an easy one.”

…Drones have replaced Guantánamo as the recruiting tool of choice for militants; in his 2010 guilty plea, Faisal Shahzad, who had tried to set off a car bomb in Times Square, justified targeting civilians by telling the judge, “When the drones hit, they don’t see children.”

Dennis C. Blair, director of national intelligence until hewas fired in May 2010, said that discussions inside the White House of long-term strategy against Al Qaeda were sidelined by the intense focus on strikes. “The steady refrain in the White House was, ‘This is the only game in town’ — reminded me of body counts in Vietnam,” said Mr. Blair, a retired admiral who began his Navy service during that war.

Goodness ~ From what I have heard those drones are totally unreliable...wouldn't it be better just to use a Bomb like WWII???

John..I go a little bit further into the mind of someone who actually "enjoys" the use of drones on blowing people up. Anyone with a good and moral mind does not find enjoyment in blowing people up but when it is a necessity in order to save others from dying that is a different thing. What this article and the other one I added on is saying is that Obama actually "enjoys" watching these things happen and to me that can be a sick and twisted mind ti enjoy people being blown up. Not only that but with the latest scenario of wanting to use them in this country..........that leads me to think of a whole new perspective of what Obama has on his mind for this country. It's a scary thought!!

Nyack...Bush started searching for Bin Laden right after 9/11...Clinton had Bin Laden in his sites when he was in office and let him go!! So where should we put the real blame of 9/11!?!? Which leads to the fact that it wasn't Obama the great savior who got Bin Laden...he only gave the go ahead...the real work was done by the Bush administration as far as finding him and knowing exactly where he was at. And they did find the chemicals used in WMD so the capability was there to produce them. That's like having a watch in pieces but one saying they can't call it a watch unless it is all together...makes no sense.

Sorry, but I didn't see Obama directly quoted. I saw the "White House Insider" quoted. This piece seems to be an opinion piece rather than hard reporting.

I am very uncomfortable with the pervasive 'Domestic Drones' that now seem to exist, but as an alternative to the potential for the mass loss of life that comes with traditional warmongering, drones do seem to be the lesser evil.

Carol D (346)

Exactly Green Bee and they seem to have been getting worse over the years!! :-(

This is a guy on the inside Suruna who knows all and sees all inside the White House...of course he is not going to let anyone know who he is or what he does and for sure Obama would lie about it anyway...we do know that. I agree with you on the feeling very uncomfortable to have them being used in this's insane IMO but like you say when it's at the point where the alternative could be mass loss of life someplace else then I can see it is worth least that is what I think you mean!

Yes, I do get that it is desirable to protect oneself, if that is even really possible. But until I see and hear information that is without swagger and obvious bias, and it doesn't matter the source (politically speaking), I am experiencing an increasing difficulty to trust the validity of these purported facts. Because, are they? Facts? Too often we are reading blog material, with an agenda, and anyone can claim to have access to inside information. The problem is that we can find materials supporting almost any 'theory'. And, granted, it can swing both ways.

Carol D (346)
Thursday May 31, 2012, 11:32 pm
Well Suruna I am going also by what I have witnessed of what Obama has been doing along with his wife ever since they have been in the White hasn't been good. On top of that this guy has no reason to lie about things like this. I have read his interviews before and much of what he has said and claimed was in fact true. I am sure there are some who maybe don't want to believe info like this and had I not seen any of the other destruction that Obama has done to this country I probably would not believe it either. On the contrary though I am going mostly by what I have seen in the past. We can agree to disagree though..:-)

Since professional killers - military - are deeply involved and enamored of murder and suicide, a huge industry has sprung up due to the fact that their families and others who support their existence are not as fond of suicide.

This industry serves to help attract many who would have that only others are killed, further inflating the military.

Even such administrators as presidents gain from lip service to the warped psychology that creates professional killers. He artificially selects for their increase, when on older times they would have Darwin Awarded themselves out of the gene/education pool.

No other animal is fool enough to eradicate themselves for imaginary goals. The drones are coming home and most all will increasingly worship them.

Here is Bob Dylan, who recently patted the hand of a poor fool.

"There must be some way out of here" said the Joker to the Thief,
"There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth;
None of them along the line know what any of this is worth.

"No reason to get excited", the Thief he kindly spoke
"There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke.
But you and I, have been through that, and this is not our fate
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late."

All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too.
Outside in the cold distance a wildcat did growl;
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl.

I don't know why someone in the US doesn't start a "Vote anything but Republican or Democrat" campaign; in order to boycott this whole R vs. D role in US politics. That is the whole problem with their political system, this simplistic republicans vs. democrats show down. Every other democratic country has several parties competing for leadership, not just two.

Aaron Holmgren (3)
Friday June 1, 2012, 12:18 pm
Someone needs to start a political movement in order to get as many people on board to vote anything other than the two dominant parties. To boycott the two dominant parties and make people aware of the problems with this setup.

Doesn't every one know that we have little to no control of the MIC and shadow government? He has a thousand right wing chicken hawks warning him to stay tough and "keep us safe" or they'll ride him to the bowels of hell.

1+1=2...3+9=12...The 3rd antichrist, gwbush (mabus means mr. bush in greek) has caused a world wide economic collapse and a fake war that has killed about a million people so far. The entire right wing of the house & senate are continuing the mabus legacy as I write and you read this.

Can we try that boycott of the correct party already? Only then can Obama be the FDR we need.

House and Senate, people! The President doesn't make law. He can only sign or veto. Vote Democrat but beware of the (R) plants. They are there to make people point at them. Turn off all right wing, corporate media. Their job is to pollute your mind with misinformation and propaganda/lies.

Thanks everyone for your input!! I appreciate it very much!!

Aaron...I know in Costa Rica when they have an election there are like 5 or 6 candidates that people chose from..then again it's the one with the most money I think that usually wins. It would be very interesting to see in this country if it could ever get away from the Democrat/Republican theme and have candidates just run on the issues!! Nothing to do with a party affiliation!! I don't know if it could ever happen though!! But when we first came out with the scenario of voting those out who don't do what we want them to do first started I had my doubts on that too but as it is it worked perfect! Ideas take time for change I think! We must never give up for the salvation of our country!!

But Jason..The President we have now does what he wants law or no law!! Now if the media was all right wing then it may be possible to turn them off but as it is it so happens to be liberal controlled media..thus they are the ones being turned off! :-)

That's what you think, Carol. There IS a shadow government. It's called the 4th reich. It's run by Karl Rove. it is supported by the right wing, house and Senate. FACT. They ARE holding back a recovery to "make Obama a 1 term president". Who the hell can agree with that as millions of homeless starve? That's insane.

"if it could ever get away from the Democrat/Republican theme"

Democrats are bad because the media says they are to be hated? That's insane too! Look at life before Reagan! It was america's greatest 3 decades. Solid growth for 30 straight years!

Will you EVER get it? We have to go back to when the wealthy were taxed 70% after their first million!!! Wages were steadily rising!!!

There is NO economy without a strong consumer. Reagan and bush assassinated us!!!!!!!!!

This is just the distraction the right needs you to focus your hate on so you won't figure out to hate them.

Thank you, Jason for continuing to attempt to expose Rove, that marketing genius who brought the US the ignorant puppet Reagan, and has been ever since, instrumental in creating the loudest bullhorn in the room.

Since Rove studied marketing and propaganda, and directly copied Goebbel's insights (such as the fact of a message being utter falsehood does not matter, if you keep repeating it, or another that understands that vilification, scapegoating and stereotyping leads those who are only concerned with their own social enrichment to ignore truth, but merely seek wealth through blaming others - Republicans are no Robin Hoods, but instead cynical and disingenuous users of those they manipulate )

The Drones' Club would have you believe that the use of violence is not habit-forming.

If you teach young men that killing any and every imagined enemy is the answer, They will always fall back on that answer. Since 1945 they have bought into that falsehood. That generation propagated the greatest most thoughtless evil upon the earth.
They are passing now, but we, their children and grandchildren are heir to their belief, UNLESS we dream a different dream.

That's your only mission: to dream something different yourself.

Carol I am not a supporter of Obama but I have to agree with Nyack on this one. "Yea, unlike George W Bush who enjoyed starting 2 wars simultanously, while bombing the shit out of everything looking for Osama Bin Laden and Weapons of Mass Destruction- neither of which he found" I do not trust any politicians today they all have a personal agenda and when I say personal I mean it is all about them. The current crop of Republicans are pretty scary. It really is a question of the lessor of two evils.

You’re making a difference.

Thank you for standing with me against the JP Morgan loophole. You’re siding with the 21,137 Americans in all fifty states and Washington DC who are outraged by Wall Street’s massive, bad bets that put our economy at risk.

Now let's raise the volume by getting more people involved:
Forward this email to three of your friends today and urge them to join you in signing our petition.
Share the petition on Facebook and ask your friends to stand with you.
Let's tell Ben Bernanke and Wall Street to close the J.P. Morgan loophole. Banks that are insured by taxpayer money should not gamble on high-risk trades.

Let’s win this fight.

Senator Jeff Merkley

Can you show me a similar email from the right, to you, Carol? What DO you people do? Isn't that the problem? Doing nothing but sucking down fox neux? Get educated and get active. It's our only weapon against their fascism.

No Jason...That is not what I is what I SEE!!! Unfortunately you love Obama so much you can't SEE that part of him that is a total destroyer of this country! When this country is saved you can thank those of us who are awake!! The Democrats are bad because the media says they are to be hated!?!? better put your head back in the sand until it's baked completely Jason!! The Media for the most part are in bed with Obama so HOW can they tell everyone to hate the Democrats!? That's a little screwed up IMO!! There is n economy because of all the taxes and the restrictions and the laws and gimmicks put in place to stop businesses from creating and prospering and guess what administration has all of these organizations controlling these now!? Who is in office!?!? And you are wrong..I don't hate..the right does not hate....but I have seen a LOT of hatred from the Democratic liberals!!

Carol D (346)
Friday June 1, 2012, 8:18 pm
Jean..What we have to remember is Bush had the OK of everyone in the Congress before he went to war and yet he is STILL being blamed as the only scape goat for starting wars....look at what Obama has done since he's been in office. He never even got an OK from Congress to do what he did...that is the difference. If you have not read "Decision Points" By George W Bush I would read it. There are many questions in that book that a lot of people do not know or understand why he did what he did. He was not perfect but he in no way deserves the slandering that he gets from so many. And I think in time he will be looked at as one of the better Presidents!

Carol D (346)
Friday June 1, 2012, 8:22 pm
Jason...I have gotten so many letter like that from Congressman and Senators and you name them!! Some not even from my own state!! If I feel I have something to say about something I will let the individual know whether he is in my state or not so you are not the only one and the liberals are not the only ones who get letters of appreciation from Congressmen...I don't mean to burst your bubble but that's a fact! I am quite up on what goes on in our can't help but be that way today with all of the screw ups EVERY day!! Pretty hard not to notice!!

America has only had a few great presidents, how do we know they were great and effective. The answers is very obvious even for the brain dead to comprehend. Each of them was assassinated as an example to those who came after them what would happen if they looked out for the peoples interests and not the military /industrial alliance or banksters.
The exception is Obama he will only be assassinated if the puppet masters want a civil war again in America.

dont shoot the messenger listen to the message of Americas fascination with creating better ways to kill people like you and me without any emotion or conscience as they believe the media hype which started with the series superman who implemented justice the American way every week in our lounge rooms. This eventuated with bombing Hiroshima/Nagasaki even though japan was beaten after being set up by American business then betrayed by having their lifeline cut off. So today its drones tomorrow viruses. Wake up America before Gaia makes you suffer the karma that's heading your way

This isn't typical blustering either but it may be that to those who worship Obama! Our cause is not me...the more info that comes out every day on this narcissistic socialist he bring on himself by the lies and actions that he does! Well Jason, keep crying because if we ae are to overcome some of the mess this country is in, Obama will lose come election day. You keep wanting to blame Bush but it was the Senate that started this mess and when it started, Obama was a Senator. And he is one of the Senators who voted for all the mess. Now it's gotten so bad that even Obama keeps right on blaming Bush and trying to get people to believe him. He doesn't want anyone to know what he voted for while he was a Senator.

There are some that are walking the tight rope and those are the ones we want to be able to convince and it won't take much but people like Jason are already down in that muddy trench of Obama's and no matter how much truth is thrown at them they have blinders on and even those get muddied up so naturally they can't see sh*t!!

Jason...The crap you people say...there was a day when it might upset me..but that day is so far over that all I can do is shake my head and let you go on believing that you really think you are getting to me!!
