According to an analysis of the bill prepared for Sen. Markey's office, S. 1627 would:

*Create more than 400,000 jobs

*Lead to energy efficiency improvements that will save the average American household $39 annually. Cumulative consumer savings through 2030 would be nearly $90 billion

*Spur more than $200 billion in new capital investments in renewable energy technology, leading to nearly a quadrupling of renewable electricity production by 2025

*Reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 480 million metric tons annually by 2025, the equivalent output of 120 coal-fired power plants.

Help us build a groundswell of support for this bill! Send a letter to your Senators below and use the Share buttons at the top right (BEFORE you send your letter) to share this Action page with your friends and colleagues. You can also always read and forward NIRS Alerts from this page.

NOTE: You must have a U.S. address to participate in this Action.

My senators, Cruz and Cornyn (TX), are kinda busy right now trying to figure out how to repeal Obamacare, impeach the President, and destroy the country. I don't think they're too interested in renewable energy and efficiency and boring stuff like that.

May I join you two as we play with dark illusions?

If we keep those play boys busy enough, maybe they won't have time to blow our tax dollars on drugs and alcohol and very expensive prostitutes.

They might actually be sober enough to discern wisdom from hallucination.

Such might scare these good boys gone bad.

Shall we?

They had a monster at the door who wanted to devour my information so they'd have a good excuse to ignore me.

I stuck a pin in their dark balloon and skidded the info in.
