Thousands of tech companies, from tiny startups to well loved sites like reddit and Tumblr, oppose this anti-democratic and anti-Internet Fast Track legislation, but Facebook is supporting it.

I don't call it 'Facecrook' for nothing. I won't have anything to do with the site and this support of TPP simply proves me right. They do not care about anything but their own profits. Yes its social media but its also a scam. Everyone's private data is being hoovered up and used to make Zucherberger * a fortune and all your getting is hassled by every advertising agency on the planet that pays to have prime access to you and hassled by anyone else who deems your private life public property!
I also note that Care2 are linked in directly with the tick box option for publishing the comments we make directly to Facecrook. Automatically taking it for granted that we would want to do that. Why? Are people totally stupid? Facecrook sells the data it harvests not only to the ad market etc but also to government surveillance departments. Every thought and opinion we have is up for grabs and will be used as evidence against us as and when the powers that be decide we have become too big a pain in their ass!
* I know the spelling is wrong and the spell check says its unrecognised for this individuals name but it came up with an alternative (Appropriate?) spelling...... 'Cheeseburger'!
Says it all really. :-)

Kevin I got an education---thank you and thanks Kathy--noted...though I must admit, I've had several folks---in the outside world & in "the know"--attempt to warn me about all sites, especially with messaging, profile pages, petitions. Ahem. My cherished friends and the fact that we do make a difference in re bettering the situation for Earth and all that lives, are the reason why I've made the decision to stay.

Glad to be of help Janice B. I am glad you decided to stay. Running away is not a solution. The problems and enemies still remain to hassle someone else. By staying fully aware of the consequences your better prepared now to deal with the problems and enemies you encounter knowing what they are potentially up to. Of course not everyone is an enemy and not every advert is bad but there are far too many people on the make using what is technically not theirs to sell.....your personality and all that it entails as discussed on your Facecrook page. :-) Give them a good run about and make them damned well work for the profits. :-)

TPP & Global Treaties; Part of corp. US's attempt to Increase $13+ Trillion
Debt 'Earning$' & to Legitimize Hiding Earning$ in Preferred Treaty Banks.
Time to Repatriate 'Earnings'; NO FOREIGN Accountants, Banks, services, etc.

Shifting Costs to harmless Non Shareholders to Inflate ‘Profits & Dividends’.
Time to Cool off the 'Stockbrokers' again; Buy Gold?
'Schadenfreude' & the Public; Too 'Unenlightened' to Figure out 'The Global Sleight of Mind' Illusion.
- David 'Copper' Smith

Corporate America, Wall St., Congress; Deluded, or, Deluding; 'IGNORAMUS et IGNORABIMUS'?

Individual States & Provinces Jump at Opportunity to: Refuse, or, 'Over Charge' Business Licenses, Raise Targeting Prov./State Taxes, 'Road' Taxes, etc. to Recoup Global Treaties' Suits (plus Earn Lucrative 'Punitive Damages') from Non Good Corporate Citizens (non-Compliant of Prov./State laws), Associated/Support Corps., Securities Exchanges, et al.

TPP, TTIP, CETA, et al, Shareholders 'Persona non Grata'; Shareholders' Meetings I.D. Toxic Neighbors, In-laws, et al.

Global Treaties Not about How Much Trade, but, How to & Who to Trade with to 'Undermine' AIIB. About as Reversible as Wall St.'s 'Derivatives'. How Can You Ensure that their are NO 'Future Considerations' Paid out by TPP, et al, 'Foreign' & Domestic Lobbyists?

The limited number of direct beneficiaries of the CETA, TPP & the other global treaties (ie. the global corporate leaders & their 'preferred' shareholders), are most desperate to keep from the prying, due diligence eyes of the of the potential global un-preferred shareholders' & the harmless NON shareholders.

The fact of the matter is, the flurry of global treaties have very little to do with trade. The treaties are about 'preferred' trading partners who are successfully attempting to legitimize for the signatories of the treaty/'Arrangements', settlements of the TPP's 'contrived' disputes, et al, by enabling the parties to alleged 'disputes' to use non adversarial settlements whereby,
the corporations & preferred shareholders 'merely' shift all of their costs from themselves to the harmless NON shareholder & the un-preferred shareholders, ie. the general public/individual taxpayers.

These costs include the costs of determining:
1) which harmless non shareholders will have to pay corporations & some SHAREHOLDERS ('preferred' SHAREHOLDERS) for the corporations' 'mistakes', contrivances, unrealistic, &/or, any expectations, etc.,
2) how high (win-fall) the punitive penalties, awards, damages, etc. will be
without the harmless NON shareholder being represented throughout the determination
of, not, if the NON shareholders are guilty, but, 'merely' how 'guilty' the harmless NON shareholders are with no means/opportunity to appeal the decisions by way of the Treaties' ('Death-Star-Chamber') new superseding, cyber jurisdiction Tribunals,
&
3) et al.
