On Saturday, March 19, the moon will come closer to the Earth than it has in the last 18 years and it will be a full moon. It will light up the night sky from just 221,567 miles or 356,577 kilometers away.

I have read in many places that the notion the "Super Moon" will cause catastrophes is hogwash. Enjoy its beauty and don't worry!

Wow fantastic!!!!! Enjoy the power and beauty of Mother Moon and if she causes upheaval, perhaps to those who cannot see the depth of energy and learning, then deal with it in positivity and joy, for one person's idea of upheaval and chaos is not necessarily another's! Funny how people with no scientific knowledge can claim an astronomical event will cause disasters. It is like the 2012 end of the world claim, it caused one of the worst films I ever had the misfortune to be taken to and I have seen Santa Claus conquers the martians - I did last 15 minutes with that still Manos hands of fate I blacked out after 4 minutes.
