What is wrong with these people, they are an utter disgrace, I really don't know how they could cause such suffering and fear, as for it being good luck; grow up! How can torturing others be good luck, try being a good person who is kind to all walks of life, at least then if it doesn't bring you good luck, you can still hold your head high and say you were a good person in life.

In the last five minutes on this site I've read about some States where bestiality is not a felony and a "Sport" of a rider jumping into water from a great height on the back of a horse. It appears that this tradition is based on an ignorant old belief fueled by GREED. I can understand the plight of the poor and their desire to improve their conditions, but ignorance can be fixed.

There are violence towards animals in all the world, not just in Asia. In Spain (berfore) or Mexico for example you have the bullfighting. In Canada the seals hunting. Etc. So, Elaine don't be racist.

uneducated and superstitious sounds like most humans on this planet its time to wake the sheeple and get them some education.. wow, bull fights, dog fights, cock fights, horse fights, swing a dog in the air. tear apart a pig, cripple a bear to drain its bile, defin a shark to make some soup, torture and suffer animals to make food and a buck, kick a cat to make a field goal, starve a puppy to see if you can, crush small animals to make a video, sniper shoot a moose or ak47 a dear, use dogs on a wild boar.. test products and chemicals on animals big and small even though the results will still end up killing in the long run do what ever you want to make a buck to get off to tune out to feel powerful even if its only an illusion why the heck not, big sky daddy put it all here for our amusement and if not it then something else.. before you blame a culture of ignorant people look at our own culture of ignorance and ask yourself what's wrong with this picture?? knowledge is not power its empowering lets be empowered... life has value beyond measure

To all those everywhere who think "humans have the right to do as we please," look at the facial expression on the swine's face. The horror, the fear, the *knowledge* that one is a prisoner, about to suffer and be executed - it's all there. This is a HORRIBLE image because it really shows humans as an evil hoard, victimizing and murdering other species for some made-up justification.

Imagine if any one of us were kept this way by other humans, tied and stretched on our backs, and then hacked in two for *someone's pleasure*.

Oh, wait!

That's happened. It doesn't matter which species humans victimize, what matters is that we are *still* doing it, and making up incredibly childish excuses to "permit" such behaviours.

I have read some of the comments here, telling us to look at our own culture before we judge others.... NO! I wont!

This topic is about the grotesque slaughter of a pig in Vietnam, it is not about the bullfighting in Spain, it is not about fox hunting in England, it is not about seal hunting in Canada, nor is is about cock fighting, dog fighting, animal testing..... the list goes on...

And that is the point, their is cruelty all over the world, if we all argued that other countries acts are worse, then what are we ever going to get done to try and stop the torture? What are we even doing here?????

Each cause deserves its own platform, each animal needs us to give them a voice, not argue that their pain, fear and suffering is not as bad or as important as another's.

I don't care the cause of these animals suffering is done due to religion, law, neglect or just 'fun', they are still suffering, so they don't need people telling others to look at their own culture before they consider helping them.
