Local British Columbia Council Passes Motion to Halt SPP

The Village of New Denver in southeastern British Columbia, Canada, has recently passed a motion to halt the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) of North America. The motion to stop the SPP is until such time as there is more parliamentary oversight and a democratic mandate from the people of Canada to further pursue this agenda of deeper integration.

The motion passed reads as such, “the Council of the Village of New Denver supports the position of Alex Atamanenko, MP, B.C. Southern Interior, in calling on the Federal Government of Canada to stop further implementation of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America with the United States and Mexico until there is a democratic mandate from the people of Canada, Parliamentary oversight, and consideration of its profound consequences on Canada's existence as a sovereign nation and its ability to adopt a autonomous and sustainable economic, social, and environmental policies, and urge the Government of Canada to conduct a transparent and accountable public debate of the SPP process, involving meaningful public consultation with civil society and full legislative review, including the work, recommendations and reports of all SPP working groups, and full debate and a vote in Parliament.”

Some might view a small town passing such a motion as insignificant, but it could lead to a domino effect. Many U.S. states have already passed anti-North American Union resolutions. It is at a local, municipal, state, and provincial level where we might be most effective in further engaging this agenda.

The groundswell of grassroots resentment towards a North American Union is growing in Canada. Demonstrations and protests were recently held all across the country against deeper integration. People are taking action, but despite their best efforts, there is still a lack of knowledge and understanding from the general public in regards to the SPP. Don't look to the Canadian mainstream media for help as they have been just as silent and complacent as their American counterparts on reporting on this agenda.

It is up to activists, bloggers, and those in the alternative media to further expose the North American Union and force it into the mainstream. As individuals, we need to educate our co-workers, friends, and families. This also means our elected representatives, and we must hold them more accountable. There is no doubt that an informed public will rise up against this threat to our sovereignty.

We must stand up to the globalist traitors and let them know that their efforts to destroy our country will not go unchallenged. In the end, it will take a coming together of concerned and informed citizens on both the left and the right if we are going to truly defeat the North American Union.

I am happy to read that BC is doing something about the proposed SPP. If you do a search on Snopes. com and type in the search bar: North American Union a new page opens to Urban Legends and Folklore, and the SPP is listed as being false. I sent an e-mail to Snopes with a link to an interview with Rep. Ron Paul R-TX who is opposed to the NAFTA Superhighway and the SPP, but very little is being done in the states to stop this from happening. 4000 miles of highway through Texas called the trans-Texa Corridor is under development by a Mexican owned construction company who has been hired by the Bush Adminsitration. Texans aren't very happy about the NAFTA Superhighway, and for this reason NAFTA has been attacked by the candidates running for the presidency. Obama has been had the lead voice in changing NAFTA. Clinton supports it, and so does McCain. McCain and Clinton are Bush wannabes. Former president Bill Clinton devastated the Democratic Party during his second term in office, and left the door wide open for the abuses in government to continue under Bush with his rubber stamp Congress and Senate. The Dems never had the necessary votes to block any vetos that Bush signed. And now he's pressuring Congress and the Senate to continue with his "rubber stamp" program, but now it isn't working anymore. In fact there is a bill before Congress to stop funding the war in Iraq.. I hope they don't cave in to Bush's demands. Clinton and NcCain would just pick up where Bush has left off, and we would not be any better than we are now. Hillary Clinton said if elected she would have our troops home within 60 days. Her words are lame, and this cannot be done without severe consequences.. Hillary has a pipe dream, and that's all it is. McCain would keep us in Iraq forever, and I wonder if he has any investments with the private contractors operating in Iraq? I believe my question is viable...

Stephen......Thank you for explaining this in terms we all can relate to.

How can any one of us be sure Obama will turn this highway project back.....If there is one reason then there are a thousand reasons to oppose this corruption of the land as well as the fooling of the people from this mad man Bush.........
