I can't help but think that if another culture were reading this, it would be very, very odd.

Can't say that I do any of these things. To my knowledge, a healthy diet, exercise, and happy lifestyle are all you need to be beautiful. :)

O my god, trying so desperately to stave off the inevitable decline of the human body ! And disgusting and cruel, but not surprising since humans have a zealous propensity to exploit anything that might serve their insatiable appetite to fill up the big empty holes that are them !

I've had snails and slugs crawl all over my arms, legs and hands before, but it's not something I try to do intentionally. I'll stick with dog and cat kisses, which I tell people are good for the skin.

I'd probably try the fishy pedicure. None of the others appeal to me.

I have heard of the fish pedicure & I know leeches are used medically to prevent clots & help with healing especially of the facial skin. Also are those leeches new on every one since they are sucking up blood, one would not know whose blood might be infected with whatever, when they are placed on you since they have been attached to another person's body. Could be hepatitis, HIV or many other blood borne diseases. To do these treatments for the sake of vanity- Thank you very much, I think I will stick with my usual mani/pedi.

People will do lots of crazy things for vanity. I always considered snails something you either put salt or beer out for to keep them clear of a veggie garden, or you eat in spaghetti sauce. Snakes, I like having around because they eat rodents. The little carp are expected to either serve as bait or grow into bigger edible size carp or koi. Bird droppings are reasons to wash the car or house roof and to detest city pigeons. Sheep are good for wool, sheepskin, mutton, sheep milk, and more sheep. Urine use brings to mind the Premarin birth control pills...

I suppose they're all 'natural' even if weird. They sound like something out of David Sedaris' book "Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk".

I know that the fish treatment is very useful against psoriasis, but otherwise: No thank you! I prefer to keep my wrinkles.
