Now, social workers are trying to figure out how to unravel the mess involving one of the youngest children ever to give birth in Cincinnati. Prosecutors were in court to discuss what to do with both children, the newborn and her 11 year old mom.

How can the "Mother" have allowed this to happen!!!! And he looks to be charged with rape ... "A rape charge carries a possible 10-year prison term." ... Although she appears outwardly to be now acting like a "normal" hcild, think f the horror she is going to go through when she joins all the dots as she gets older.

Sadly noted

How sad! I'm really sorry for this girl and hope she can get over it, although at the moment it seems imposible. But what shoks me is the fact that so many people suspected the abuses she was taking on and nobody acted. He deserves de hardest punishment the law can give....and hope he gets it; as for the mother...I think the young girl is better without her.

That guy should be hanged by the testicles, to give him an idea of what that child went through!

I have an eleven year old girl and I look at her and think omg how could anyone do that to her or anyone else. This is the most disgusting form of child abuse I've ever heard of. The mother should never be allowed to see that child or the grandtr again. She had to have known what was going on. grrrrrr. I cannot believe they didn't perform an abortion on this poor little girl. Who decided to let her go for nine months of hell. Poor little girl. Prayers to her and her newborn baby. s-j

That brought tears to my eyes for that poor young girl who has lost her childhood and pissed me off royaly that any mother could or would allow anyone to molest her child sexually or otherwise! They both need to be put in jail, him for life and her for a few years. She should also lose any rights to her daughter and granddaughter. That poor girl is going to need a lot of therapy and loving support from people who truely love her and care about her. This just breaks my heart.

Same sick scenario! Just that this child was able to get pregnant and did. I'd very much like to see the mother charged with abuse by neglect and serve some time. I won't even waste your time saying what I think of the boyfriend, everyone here has pretty well covered it.

Thank you Sherry, I commend your efforts to stop this kind of horror!

How sad for the mother of only 11 years old. Why did they let the child give burth, now her childhood is gone, and she most probably cannot raise her child, because she herself isn't mature.

The things I'm thinking would not even being to be enough punishment for that S.O.B. or the B***H who was SUPPOSED to be protecting her daughter!
My heart goes out to both those babies.

That is sick and sad. I understand the girl is too young to be a mother, but it is heart breaking to think they will be seperated. I don't think the govt should be raising other peoples children.

The article mentions...SEVERAL relatives of the girl contacted the agency, saying Chaffer sexually abused the little girl for a "period of time". WHAT in tarnation were they doing all that time?...for crying out loud!! Were they all spineless or couldn't care less ?...not to try to take some action or report it to the authorities even? Obviously the mother was not going to do any such thing.

Noted with utmost sadness.

The worst thing is still to come, if this guy is the father he can go to court and demand to see his child!!
I really hope this young girl will never experience that, and that childcare will let this baby be adopted!!!

Both the mother of that child and the boyfriend of the mother who raped and impregnated her should be sent to jail for life. I, especially think the rapist deserves life in prision. Other inmates don't take abuse to children lightly. In fact from what I have been told, they make him pay in their own way. I wish there was a kind relative of this little girl who would take her and love her as she should be loved.I also wish that this innocent baby would be put up for adoptionwith a good family who would love that baby as their own. As far as any rights the rapist has, I can't believe that any court in this country would permit him to have any contact with that child. All adoption records should be sealed. This post probably doesn't make any sense but I am so angry I can't think straight.

A child that age is too young to go through pregnancy. It's traumatizing in itself. I don't understand how she even went through it enough to have the child. Maybe her mother hid her while she was more obviously pregnant. I don't know, but I want the very best for this 11 year old and the baby. I hope they're both well-placed with the people who look out for them.

Though in situations like this allot of blame flies around about suspected child-abuse that has been ignored by all too long, and they should also learn from that mistake how to listen to children. But I think the focus must stay primarily on the one to be blamed is the rapist himself! He did it! He was forceful & even slammed the door on police when they came! HE MUST STAY IN PRISON! HE WAS TOLD NOT TO GO BACK THERE & HE TRIED TO FORCEFULLY STAY ANYWAY. HE IS DANGEROUS! The Girl should not have her Baby taken away from her! They should be put into proper care together! No matter how young she is, she carried the baby & birthed the baby that grew inside her & loves the Baby & should not be separated from her own Baby. The Mother & Baby should not be punished because they are young through no fault of their own, the RAPIST should be punished & separated from society where he can do no more child rape! This is so, so sad & unfair.

Lock this monster up and throw away the key. If the 12 year old mother wants her child, she should have custody of the baby, not the state. The state did not carry this child to term and should not be allowed to take it from her. This is double trauma for this little girl who already has suffered enough.

That disgusting pig should be in jail for life and why is the state allowed to take the baby away from her she didn't do anything wrong . Poor girl has been through hell and is still getting punished for what some perv did to her.

i think that the little girl and her baby should be placed with a good family so that she doesn't completely loose her mind. I am sickened that we live in a world where people would let such terrible things happen to children. I don't think that the law is going to be sufficient to proove justice in this case... he can never be punnished enough.

This is not a case of molestation.... This injustice done to this little girl should not go unpunished. All that has been taken away from her can NEVER be given back. When put in jail for this, the inmates should be told just what this pervert has done. There will be a little justice, but NOT enough. The mother should be charged along with her boyfriend, she had to know what took place.
