So Who Still Thinks Israel Is the Root of Middle East Problems?

Forget the massacre of thousands in Syria and Egypt, whether by chemical weapons or more conventional methods of mass slaughter. The ME issue galvanising some of our musical mega-stars and their followers, even now, is the treatment by Israel of Palestini

I know one thing for sure. That Israel has contributed more to society and the world than any Arab country. Am I missing something? I can't think of any good thing that the Arab countries have contributed to the betterment of the world.

Sorry to hear you say that Barbara- here are a few- because there is more than enough mis-information out there.

Trigonometry, Sine, Tangent, Co-Tangent

The Arabs developed these functions in trigonometry and Ibn Moosaa's work Hisaab-Al Jab-Wal Muqaabala (The Calculation of Integration and Equation) presented 800 examples in the 8th century CE. His work was translated from Arabic into Latin and until the 16th century CE, it was Europe's main textbook on the subject.

Algebra and Geometry

Muhammad bin Moosaa Al-Khawaarizmi is considered to be one of the founders of Algebra. The word ‘Algorithm’ or 'Algorizm' is a corruption of his name or the name of the town Khwaarizm (Kheva), in what is now Uzbekistan, where he was born. He adopted the use of ‘cipher’ (zero), that was devised in India some centuries earlier, a numeral of fundamental importance, leading up to the so-called arithmetic of positions and the decimal system. The very word ‘zero’ is a derivative of the Arabic ‘sifr’ or ‘cipher’. His pioneering work on the system of numerals is well known as "Algorithm," or "Algorizm." In addition to introducing the Arabic numerals, he developed several arithmetical procedures, including operations on fractions.

Another great mathematician was Omar Khayyaam, who offered to the world geometric and algebraic solutions of the second degree. Naseeruddeen wrote the treatise on quadrilateral trigonometry, as well as plain and spherical geometry.

Physics and Chemistry

Kamaaluddeen examined the refraction of sunlight in raindrops and offered an explanation of the genesis of primary and secondary rainbows. The story of the invention of the pendulum and the presentation of a water clock to Emperor Charlemagne by Haaroon Ar-Rasheed is well known.

The great historian Gibbons wrote in his Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire (Volume 5) that the science of chemistry owes its origin and improvements to the Muslims.

Science of Mechanics

The development of the science of mechanics in Islam is an act of genius. Moosaa bin Shaakir described one hundred pieces of mechanical equipment in his book of artifices. Other outstanding Muslim treatises included Al Kitaab Fi Ma`rifat Al-Hiya Al-Handasiyyah (The Book of the Knowledge of Ingenious Geometrical Contrivances) by Abul Fiaz bin Al Raz and Al Kitaab Meezanal-Hikmah (The Book of Balance and Wisdom) by Al-Khazini. He also did work on accurate weighing, and determination of the specific gravity of substances.

Camera Obscura

In the field of optics, Camera Obscura was invented by Ibn Haytham in 1038 CE.

Theory of Relativity

Qaadhi Abu Bakr had developed the theory of relativity in the 8th century CE in terms of time and space by means of mathematical equations and astrophysics. Imagine, Einstein was not even born in the Western world, who propounded the same theory of relativity much later in the 20th century CE.

Geography

As far as geography was concerned, Muslim scientists established that the world was round in the 9th century CE, and the first map of the globe was made during the Caliphate of Ma’moon.

Paper Making

This was one of the earliest skills attained by the Muslims. As early as the 8th century CE, high quality paper was being manufactured in Samarqand. Egypt was known to have its first paper mill in the year 900 CE. The earliest Arabic manuscript written on paper that has been discovered is the Ghareeb Al Hadeeth by Abu ‘Ubayed, dated 837 CE. It can be seen in Holland preserved in the library at the University of Leyden.

Advances in Industry

Under Islamic rule, Spain was an industrial center. It was one of the wealthiest and most thickly populated of the European countries. Muslims were leading in weaving wool, producing silk, pottery, jewelry, leather and perfume industry. In the Middle Ages, world trade was commanded by Muslims and Baghdad Bukhaara and Samarqand remained centers for world fairs until the 16th century CE. The Bayt Al-Hikmah at Cairo contained two million books, the library at Tripoli contained some three million, but this library was burned down by the Christians during the first Crusade.

Yes....and what have they done in the past 500 years or so? Unfortunately, the Islamic ''dark ages' '' equivalent has settled firmly in their midst, resulting in seething fury, mistreatment of women, brutality toward other religions and all the things we've seen very clearly as their numbers increase. One must ask themselves how things would be changed if oil weren't located under their sand.

Meanwhile, Israel continues to add science, medical and ''green'' technologies to the world's knowledge store. This despite the brutality, hatred and attempted extermination by Nazis and Muslims around the world.

More Arab Taqiyya, Nyack. Perhaps you should read something other than fiction once in a while.

Arab Writer: Islam’s Uncivilized ‘Civilization’ Has Accomplished Nothing, ‘Philosophy And Logic Are Considered Heresy In Islam’

(It’s good to see an Arab writer acknowledging what should otherwise be quite obvious. The lack of accomplishments from “Islamic civilization” is not because those who adhere to Islam and its laws are intellectually deficient. Rather, they are “intellectually deficient” because they adhere to Islam and its laws. And therein lies the impetus to change the times from those that are historically accurate, to those that are anything but …)

Daniel 7:25a, “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws …”

By Ali Hassan, Annaqued via No Compulsion – “I can say with confidence that the only civilization attributed to religion is the so-called ‘Islamic civilization’. Other civilizations do not base themselves on religion. We do not hear about the ‘Christian civilization’, the ‘Jewish civilization’ or the ‘Buddhist civilization’.

When I was a student in the Arab schools, I studied a curriculum module or unit called ‘Islamic civilization’ which was taught by a Salafist Imam. His whole curriculum was a biography of the Salafists ‘Ahlu Sunna’ group; a group that wants to follow the works of Muhammad’s times and the early Muslims. All we studied was ‘so and so said…‘ and ‘the Shari’a tells us to do such and such…’ the whole curricuum was designed for ‘Islamic brainwashing’. The instructor Imam never gave a smile in his lectures and taught topics that had no relation to civilization. For me, this class was ‘the straw that broke the camel’s back’ and that led me to go and finish my studies in the lands of the heathens.

The class that I took with this Imam was no more than an insult to my intellect. The course was filled with mumbo jumbo about Islam along with some inherited beliefs about the Jews and the Christians.

Who is the genius who came up with the term ‘Islamic civilization’?

But wait for a minute …!

Those who coined the term ‘Islamic civilization’ speak about (at most) the seven centuries before the Ottoman empire appeared on the world stage. We can’t speak about the ‘Turkish times’ since that is the Turkish time and not the time of the Islamic civilization. I am talking about the seven centuries where the lands Muslims ruled were in their ‘golden age’.

Now, greater civilizations of the past left us witnesses to their accomplishments. The Romans did. So did the Greeks, the Mayas and the Chinese. The great Egyptian civilization of old left us the Pyramids – one of their witnesses to their accomplishments.

Where is the evidence for the Muslims civilization? Is it the Ummayyad Mosque in Damascus? This was no more than a Christian church that the Muslims took over and converted to a mosque, just to annoy the Christians and make their life as uncomfortable as possible.

The old civilizations had their greatest accomplishments in the proximity of their origins. For Muslims this is the Mecca and Medina areas. But there are no accomplishments there. All there is is a pre-Islamic black stone enclosed within a mud cube. There is nothing worth mentioning in Mecca or Medina. Even in other areas Muslims accomplished nothing. In the example of Spain, Muslims took over buildings by force from the original natives, and stayed there, unwelcome, until the natives had enough power to get rid of the Muslims. Had not the Muslims been kicked out of Spain, we would have today Kandahar instead of Marbella and Waziristan rather than Mallorca and Mogadesho instead of Barcelona.

How beautiful you are, my mind, when you are in the right environment!

Thanks to my studies in the lands of infidels, my mind had a healthy development and the ability to do critical thinking. In comparison, education in Muslim areas is just indoctrination.

An example of intellectual theft by Muslims is that they invented the concept of ‘zero’ without which computers would not have been possible.

This is a lie, the concept of zero came from the Indians. The same applies to ‘Arabic’ numerals that have their origins in Babylonia.

What Muslims like to teach and brag about are half-truths.

Muslims claim they translated the Greek works of Socrates, Arstotle, etc. and that without the Muslims’ translations such origins of European civilization would have been lost.

This is not quite accurate.

True, the translations were made in lands dominated by Muslims, such as Iraq and the Levant. But it wasn’t the Muslims who did the translation. It was Assyrian Christians. At that time the Khalif was forgiving and did not follow Islam (philosophy and logic are considered heresy in Islam) but fortunately the Sultan was a heretic and allowed to these translations to be made.

The exact term is ‘Islamic primitivism’.

The Islamic religion is an invasive Arab culture that seeks to destroy, and destroyed, the cultures of native peoples. The only reason that the Giza Pyramids in Egypt are still standing is that when Muslims took over Egypt and ruled over the native Copts the Muslims did not have knowledge about bombs and explosives at the time and so could not destroy them.

This was not the case with the giant Buddha statues in Afghanistan, which are 2,500 years old. When Muslims learned to use explosives, they destroyed it while shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ (Allah is greatest). The civilized world watched their TVs in horror as this spectacle was taking place.

In India, three thousand Hindu temples were converted to mosques, and the consequences of such actions still exist today:

Natives of the Indian sub-continent lived together in harmony until The Muslims showed up on the scene and viciously converted temples into mosques. Along with the Muslims, war came to India and this ultimately led to the division of India into two states: one is the world’s largest democracy (modern India) and the second is the world’s largest shelter for Muslim terrorists (Pakistan).

Islam and Medicine

Nowadays one is nauseated and gets migrane headache from all that Islamic bragging about the contributions of Islam to Medicine during its ‘golden age’. This is nonsense.

During the Abbasid dynasty, The Khalif (Sultan) did not follow Islam. He was, rather, a good drinker of alcohol and spent his time attending to pretty maids.

In fact it was the apostacy of some Abbasid rulers that allowed translation of non-Islamic works, the development of knowledge and a movement to establish the rule of the intellect overIslam to thrive.

As for Medicine, it the Christian Assyrians who led the field. Muslims try to take credit for that to deceive the world. Some of those Christians were ‘Islamized’ either through poverty or the sword. ‘Jizya’ was a heavy tax and an Islamic protection racket. It is no wonder that some of those Christians were ‘Islamized’. In our days, this is seen as no more than a Mafia style operation. And, by the way, this is what is happening nowadays in Egypt. A Coptic boy may declare he is a Muslim to be able to marry a Muslim girl he loves. Later, he may regret what he did, but then it is too late. The court system will not allow him to go back to his Christian faith.

Forced Islamization of scientists

Muslims boast about Al-Razi (Persian), and Ibn Sina (Persian) and Al-Bironi (Persian), and Abu Hamid al-Ghazali (Persian) and Al-Farabi (what is now Kazakhstan) and Al-Khuwarizmi (what is now Uzbekistan), and Al-Bukhari, Al-Tirmidhi, and Al-Sijistani, Bashar ibn Burd, Abu Nawas, Abu Hanifa, Taftazani, and Abu Faraj Isfahani, and Ibn Al-Roumi, and Ibn Bakhtaishou’, and Haneen ibn Ishaq, and Al-Rumi, etc. .. etc. .. Muslims brag about those as if they were the cousins of prophet Muhammad, or as if they were descendants of the Quraish tribe. Those people were not even Arabs. What happened is that the Arab Muslim invaders went into other societies, and did two things: One was destroy the culture and sciences of the natives, the second was to Islamize what they could by the sword (or the power of taxes through Jizya and other means). Do you get the picture?

To Summarize

The true inheritance of the lie called ‘Islamic Civilization’ exists in one place and only in one place: The Qur’an. Nothing else is Islamic civilization. What the Muslims did is destroy other civilizations that existed before them. They, the Muslims, had the goal of erasing the original identity of such societies. They replaced man’s intellect with the Qur’an; a book that has stories about Christians and Jews in its first half and calls for cursing them, destroying them and killing them in the second half – in addition to elevating the status of Muhammad.

That is all that Islamic civilization contributed to the world. So, one cannot help but laugh when the words ‘Islamic Civilization’ are mentioned.” Source – No Compulsion.

Nyack, you do love ancient history and even manage to misquote it. 1001 inventions claimed by Muslims which they did not discover. Although Nyack will probably scream that this is a hate site, this page merely has links to other sites that prove the lies that she chooses to believe.

http://www.barenakedislam.com/2012/09/03/they-came-they-saw-they-plagiarized-1001-so-called-muslim-inventions-virtually-none-of-which-were-actually-invented-by-muslims/

To rebuff Nyack's fantasies will cause foul language and personal abuses but I would also add that 20% of Nobel prizes have been won by Jews which means that a far greater percentage were on the list, not a bad achievement for such a small number of people. However, when you consider the billions of Muslims, a pathetic number have won any. In fact, as at 2012, only ten winners of the Nobel Prize have been Muslims. Half of the 10 Muslim Nobel laureates were awarded the prize in the 21st century. Six of the 10 winners were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, 11 if you include Obama. As they were not actually genuinely interested in peace that leaves a whole 4. Wow.

For the sake of parity both "sides" of the equation truly are at war not only with the "other side". There is the battle within Islam i.e. Sunni vs Shia their battles are truly horrific and all for the love of Allah while hundreds of thousands who do not "believe" the right way are brutally murdered. And within Judaism there is on a less violent level yet still huge differences how god should be worshipped and honored. Ultra orthodox jews vs Orthodox Jews vs conservatives. So sadly if these groups cannot agree within their own religious beliefs, good luck trying to get both groups to agree with their opposing factions! Sadly, and though I am an agnostic, Israel may vaunt itself as always being on the right side of god and justice and Muslims as always wrong, there is always MANY sides to any battle! Do I think Muslims are correct? No, but neither do I think they are always wrong. Less wars, killing and maiming and more dialogue that will lead to better understanding and PEACE! Ok I admit I am a dreamer - guilty!

@ Nyack
quote...Sorry to hear you say that Barbara- here are a few- because there is more than enough mis-information out there. ...Unquote

This is islamic garbage exactly what one would expect from you Nyack-- the notion of islamic science is utter nonsense. No religion ever invented anything

Most of so called islamic science results from a spin off from the "Mutazilite era" during the
Umayyad dynasty---- The Mutazilites ( Greek and Indian civilisations combined with Jewish and Christian beliefs were their inspiration) developed reasoning and logic as their basis to understanding islam and came to the conclusion that muhammed made the whole thing up
The German-Syrian reformist Bassam Tibi points out that the Muslim thinkers who developed Greek rationalism are today despised in their own civilization. As he writes in his book Islam Between Culture and Politics, "rational sciences were – in medieval Islam – considered to be 'foreign sciences' and at times heretical. At present, Islamic fundamentalists do not seem to know that rational sciences in Islam were based on what was termed ulum al-qudama (the sciences of the Ancients), that is, the Greeks."

Al-Khwarizmi a teacher in the mathematical school in Baghdad, collected and improved the advances in algebra of previous Hindu and Arab scholars. His works included the translation of Greek and Sanskrit scientific manuscript.
According to the historian al-Tabari—al-khwarizmi was an adherent of the old Zoroastrian religion.

Omar Khayyam was a philosopher, a rationalist skeptic and freethinker and follower of Greek philosophy, and scornful of religion and in particular of Islam. His views on Islam were in sheer contradiction with its fundamental precepts. He objected to the notion that every particular event and phenomenon was the result of the intervention of Allah. He did not believe in resurrection, Judgment Day or rewards and punishments in an alleged afterlife. Instead he was a naturalist and maintained all phenomena of observed on earth were guided by the laws of nature.

islamic science is the study of the koran, hadith and arab history and the islamic madrasa is not concerned with reason based investigation or unrestrained inquiry
For what its worth muhammed and his four rightly guided caliphs-- Abu Bakr,Uthman Omar, and Ali who ruled after Mohammed. In their total of thirty years ruling there were no scientific achievements just the usual murders thefts rape and other atrocities

Not only that G.M., but the precious few Muslims that actually received Nobel prizes for something other than political butt licking were hounded to death for leaving the narrow confines of Islamic thought -- specifically because they weren't the "right" kind of Muslim, and in this case Achmadi. This is shameful behavior on the part of Sunni majority Islam.

From http://www.humanrights.asia/news/ahrc-news/AHRC-ART-128-2012

"The issue of Ahmadi's in Pakistan appears to be more important than honouring the life of the country's only Nobel Laureate.

AHRC-ART-128-2012-01.JPGDr. Abdus Salam passed away on November 21, 1996 in England at the age of 70. He was the country's only Nobel Laureate and won the prize in 1979 for his work in theoretical physics and for his discovery of the 'God' particle. Dr. Salam was the first Pakistani and the first and only Muslim to receive a Nobel Prize in Physics. He contributed heavily to the rise of Pakistan to the physics community of the world.

Sadly, instead of honouring a son of the country the government is ignoring the call for tributes to appease the religious extremists because Dr. Salam was an Ahmadi.

It was during Zia-ul-Haq's oppressive rule when Ahmadis were banned from calling themselves Muslim and building their mosques in the Islamic Republic. Their places of worship were shut down or desecrated by hard-line Islamist with the support of the state.

In the town of Alloway, Scotland, the cottage where the famed poet, Robbie Burns lived has been preserved for future generations. It is now a museum honouring the life and times of the 'Bard'. Sadly no such honour has been paid to the house where Dr. Salam resided. Instead of being preserved as a mark of honour it has been allowed to fall into disrepair and the local residents hang their washing from its crumbling walls; a deliberate snub to show that Ahmadis, scientists and Nobel Laureates have no place in Pakistan's history and culture.

Likewise, his headstone was vandalized. It originally read: The first Muslim Nobel Laureate Dr. Abdus Salam. After the vandals were finished it now reads only: Dr. Abdus Salam. The pity of this is that the government shows no reaction whatsoever to the actions of the extremists to belittle his work. There has been no investigation into the vandalism and to be honest, none is expected. This speaks to the apathy of civil society and the institutes of higher learning in that no one has taken notice of this. Does this mean that the country looks upon Dr. Salam as an award winning scientist or as an Ahmadi? Should they not, in fact, be looking upon him as a great man of science who worked for the betterment of his society?

It is a shameful situation in that Pakistan has shown no willingness to respect the scientific achievements of one of its own citizens. Indeed, Dr. Salam's community has contributed more to the creation of Pakistan than any other religious sect or group. The only heroes of the country are the soldiers that are supposed to be guardians of its sovereignty, the Jihadist that operate with the full knowledge of the government to protect the 'purity' of Islam, there is no time for the scientists who work to enlighten society and who wish to run the country on scientific knowledge. They are treated as nothing and when their usefulness is over they are thrown on the rubbish tip.

It is the history of Pakistan that those who have usurped the rights of the people and killed thousands eventually surrender before their enemies. These are the people who are treated as 'heroes'. There is no room for academics in this category. Academics are only seen in the form of their religious and sectarian affiliations.

Despite Dr. Salam's prestigious career and service to his country the government shows no sense of gratitude. In a career spanning 45 years he worked tirelessly to promote training and research into physics. He worked as one of the science advisors to the government from 1960 to 1974 and played a major role in Pakistan's science infrastructure. It would of course, be possible to list all of Dr. Salam's accomplishments but that would just add weight to the argument that the government of Pakistan has turned its back on a man that dedicated his life to the betterment of his country; a country that disowned him because of his faith. In 1974 Dr. Salam, dejected, left Pakistan after the parliament passed a bill declaring the Ahmadiyya sect as non-Islamic.

In her speech to the United Nations at the Periodic Universal Review, the Foreign Minister, Ms Hina Rabbani Khar, talked in flowing terms of the progress Pakistan has made in the past four years in furthering human rights in the country. However, her speech was significant not for what she said but for what she did not; areas which she conspicuously avoided. One of those areas was the harassment and abuse meted out to the Ahmadi community. It is bad enough when the harassment is meted out to the living, but how sad is it when even the dead and buried are abused.

Though Dr. Salam has been treated as persona non grata there would have been hope for Pakistan's civil society in the person of Malala Yousufzai, the young girl of only 15 who stood up the religious extremists and fought for her right, and the rights of other girls of the country to an education. She is the example that Pakistan's civil society should be following. Malala herself has now joined with Dr. Salam in the group of persons that are 'persona non grata'. She is said to be pro-American and some state organisations have also joined in the chorus of hatred towards her. A Muslim group in the United Kingdom, where Malala is undergoing treatment for the gunshot injuries she sustained during the assassination attempt on her life, also declared her eligible for assassination. The group has been angered by her public comments in support of the occupying US forces in the region and her mocking of the hijab and jihad. The group plans to announce the fatwa on November 30 at a mosque which was previously raided by British forces due to its religious extremism.

It is yet to be seen if the UK government will take further action on this mosque and the group which is based in the country. This raises the question as to how long the British government is going to remain silent on the matter.

With regard to the silence of the Pakistan government in the matter of Dr. Salam it is the organs of the state that are allowing this to happen. If the government would cease its policy of appeasement towards the religious extremists and the armed forces there would be more respect shown by all to the true heroes of the country. These heroes are not the Jihadists and hate mongers, they are the people who have worked and continue to work for the betterment of the people and humanity in general.

If the government is not prepared to hold up Dr. Mohammad Abdus Salam as a national asset it is better that they declare him 'persona non grata' so that once and for all he can be deleted from the history books."

''Forget the massacre of thousands in Syria and Egypt, whether by chemical weapons or more conventional methods of mass slaughter.'' The horror of Operation Cast Lead has also been forgotten by the author of this piece. It is equally vile to make blanket condemnations of all Arabs/Muslims or all Jews. I stand with my righteous Jewish friends, for human rights, & against the continued annexation of Palestinian lands by Israeli 'settlements'.
Also forgotten are the story of the British Empire carving up the Middle East, partition, & the ruination of Lebanon.

As evidenced from this article,

"The Alawites have been very frightened of the Sunni Muslim population since before the State of Israel and knew that if they didn't retain control over the Sunnis, the Sunnis would slaughter the Syrian Alawites.. As a matter of fact, the grandfather of Hafez al-Assad wrote a letter to the the PM of France, BEGGING the French not to pull out of Syria, because would mean the annihilation of the minority Alawite population.

This same same Suleiman Assad, praised the early Zionists in that letter, which reads:

Dear Mr. Leon Blum, Prime Minister ofFrance. In light of the negotiations that are being conducted between France and Syria, we – the Alawite leaders in Syria- respectfully draw the following points to your attention and to that of your party (the Socialists): 1. The Alawite nation [sic !!] which has maintained its independence over the years by dint of much zeal and many casualties, is a nation which is different from the Muslim Sunni nation in its religious faith , in its customs and in its history. It has never happened that the Alawite nation [which lives in the mountains on the Western coast of Syria] was under the rule of the [Muslims)]who rule the inland cities of the land. 2. The Alawite nation refuses to be annexed to Muslim Syria, because the Islamic religion is thought of as the official religion of the country, and the Alawite nation is thought of as heretical by the Islamic religion. Therefore we ask you to consider the dreadful and terrible fate that awaits the Alawites if they are forced to be annexed to Syria, when it will be free from the oversight of the Mandate, and it will be in their power to implement the laws that stem from its religion. [According to Islam, the idol-worshiping heretic has a choice to convert to Islam or be slaughtered.] 3. Awarding independence to Syria and cancelling the mandate would be a good example of socialist principles in Syria, but the meaning of full independence will be the control by a few Muslim families on the Alawite nation in Cilicia, in Askadron [the Alexandretta Strip that the French cut off from Syria and annexed to Turkey in 1939] and in the Ansariyya Mountains [the mountains in the western part of Syria, the topographical continuation of the Lebanon Mountains]. Even having a parliament and a constitutional government will not ensure personal freedom. This parliamentary control is only a facade, lacking any effective value, and the truth of the matter is that it will be controlled by religious fanaticism that will target the minorities. Do the leaders ofFrancewant the Muslims to control the Alawite nation and throw it into the bosom of misery? 4. The spirit of fanaticism and narrow-mindedness, whose roots are deep in the heart of the Arab Muslims toward all those who are not Muslim, is the spirit that continually feeds the Islamic religion, and therefore there is no hope that the situation will change. If the Mandate is cancelled, the danger of death and destruction will be a threat upon the minorities in Syria, even if the cancellation [of the Mandate] will decree freedom of thought and freedom of religion. Why, even today we see how the Muslim residents of Damascus force the Jews who live under their auspices to sign a document in which they are forbidden to send food to their Jewish brothers who are suffering from the disaster in Palestine [in the days of the great Arab rebellion], the situation of the Jews in Palestine being the strongest and most concrete proof of the importance of the religious problem among the Muslim Arabs toward anyone who does not belong to Islam. Those good Jews, who have brought to the Muslim Arabs civilization and peace, and have spread wealth and prosperity to the land of Palestine, have not hurt anyone and have not taken anything by force, and nevertheless the Muslims have declared holy war against them and have not hesitated to slaughter their children and their women despite the fact that England is in Palestine and France is in Syria. Therefore a black future awaits the Jews and the other minorities if the Mandate is cancelled and Muslim Syria is unified with Muslim Palestine. This union is the ultimate goal of the Muslim Arabs. 5. We appreciate your generosity of spirit in defending the Syrian people and your desire to realize their independence, but Syria at the present time is far from the lofty goal that you aspire for her, because she is still trapped in the spirit of religious feudalism. We do not think that the French government and the French socialist Party will agree to the Syrians’ independence, since its implementation will cause the subjugation of the Alawite nation, placing the Alawite minority in danger of death and destruction. It cannot be that you will agree to the (nationalist) Syrian request to annex the Alawite nation to Syria, because your lofty principles – if they support the idea of freedom – will not accept the situation in which one nation (the Muslims) try to stifle the freedom of another (the Alawite) by forcing its annexation. 6. You may see fit to assure the rights of the Alawites and other minorities in the wording of the treaty (The French-Syrian Treaty, which defines the relationships between the states), but we emphasize to you that contracts have no value in the Syrian Islamic mentality. We have seen this in the past, with the pact that England signed with Iraq, which forbade the Iraqis to slaughter the Assyrians and the Yazidis. The Alawite nation, which we, the undersigned, represent, cries out to the government ofFranceand to the French Socialist Party, and requests them to ensure its freedom and independence within its small boundaries [an independent Alawite state!!]. The Alawite nation places its well-being in the hands of the French Socialist leaders, and is sure that it will find strong and dependable support for the nation which is a faithful friend, who has rendered toFrancea great service, and now is under the threat of death and destruction. That unfortunately came out unparagraphed. Here, though, is an important part of that letter.

From Suleiman Assad of Syria:

This union is the ultimate goal of the Muslim Arabs."

You state... "Do I think Muslims are correct? No, but neither do I think they are always wrong. Less wars, killing and maiming and more dialogue that will lead to better understanding and PEACE! Ok I admit I am a dreamer - guilty!"
Yep Christian/muslim dialogue is going well on a worldwide scale-- Have you not yet realised there can be no dialogue with islam-- Islam (mohammed, koran and ahadith) teaches that the nonmuslim is inferior in every way-- now if you think there can be dialogue with that you are seriously delusional ... unless of course you agree
Perhaps it might be conducive if Nyack produced some facts other than those garnered from a hate site

@ Nyack
I see my old cabbage brained chum you are as usual spouting Islamic nonsense, you are living proof of what ails Islam (free thought and investigative ability are dead ),Can you not find any other source for your "Facts"
other than an Islamic Hate site (hates the truth) and why did you not continue your copy and paste --- I have not had a good laugh today and moronic science is always a good start.
but I do understand your frustration-- After all Israel is hated by Islam and Islam just cannot understand why alla would allow such hated people to be leaders in science etc., etc.,
The answer is simple my Dear old Cabbage -- Have you not considered that perhaps the Mutazilites (quoted above ) could just be correct and that Islam is indeed the product of one mans imagination.
When I think about it Mohammed is actually the only source for the koran

The impetus for violence is so deeply ingrained in the Quran and Hadiths, that it has created a culture of "must blame and kill".

When Muslims run out of or are unable to access non-Muslim victims, they turn on their own, so much is the urge to murder a part of Islam.

Islam, like any other tyranny, will destroy itself, and we are watching that process unfold now.

This has been going for some 1600 years BEFORE the rebirth of the modern State of Israel.

Islam, like Vampires, needs a source of blood to feed on. This is its essence.

" In fact, as at 2012, only ten winners of the Nobel Prize have been Muslims. "

Ok but be fair-- muslims do excel at other things that the Jewish population doesn't
namely
The Daily Telegraph reported in 2012 that 75% of all Muslim women are unemployed while 50% of all Muslim men are unemployed (67.5% total) - a staggering rise from 13% for men and 18% for women in 2004. Muslims are also on sick leave more than anyone else, with 24% of females and 21% of males claiming a disability (2001 figures). Muslims are the most likely among all religious groups to be living in accommodation rented from the council or housing association (28%); 4% live rent-free (2004 figures). As if this is not enough, the total prison population in the UK amongst category A and B criminals (the worse crimes) is now 35-39% Muslim.

Since current statistics fail to clarify how many actually collect benefits and whether unemployment figures include those on disability and in prison, only a crude estimate can be made. The indications are nevertheless shocking: that out of 5 million Muslims living in Britain (2012 unconfirmed estimate increased the population number from 3 million), roughly 4.25 million Muslims, or more than 85%, live off tax payers. If we average this with a simple, quick calculation of the minimum benefit payment of £67 a week, at least £ 284,750,000 per week (£1.139 billion per month) is spent from taxpayer money on Muslims who barely contribute anything whatsoever to Britain’s revenues – except making more Muslims.
The calculation is not detailed enough to include housing benefits, childcare support, medical care and other coverage. We can estimate that only in unemployment support, Muslims cost the British government at least £ 13+ billion a year.

My dear Alexa, such a sad topic sullying your enjoyment of your special day! I fear as long as Israel exists as a nation (meaning, of course, forever) there will always be those who will blame Israel and the Jews for every evil in this world. Those who refuse to see the hatred and bloodlust that feeds the Islamic extremists.
Those who admiringly quote the supposed, near miraculous *accomplishments* of the ancient Arab World, ignoring the horror of their present day *accomplishments*, while also ignoring the truly miraculous gifts Israel has, and is, providing in today's world.

Perhaps Israel is responsible for 10% of the current problems, but the rest are due to the Islam extremists and the terrorists. They do not only affect Israel and the West, but they unfairly taint most of the Muslims who are normal people. However, most of the modern problems were created by the misguided policies of the British Empire, and to a lesser extent France, between the end of the Victorian Era and the end of World War II.

Then I'll just tellya it will be a cold day in hell before I support any Hamas like govt one of the most problematic of the terrorist groups in the middle east ..who allow men to beat women, females suffer honor killings or stonings and they even behead people in public.

Aurea -- I'm so impressed that Care2 left you in charge to tell people who should be ignored.

Actually it's not so surprising that your remarks are found to be inane by not only John J, but by others who have nothing to do with him whatsoever.

So to be fair, the 1500 year of Muslims murdering millions of people is somehow equal to the fact that adherents of Judaism belong to different sects (without killing each other and non-Jews)? Maybe they're not inviting each other to their birthday parties? Obviously, such a "similar" situation -- Muslims beheading and sowing violence wherever they go and Jews having different ways of worshiping?

Carrie -- the same question for you. 1500 years of Islamic-on-Islamic violence BEFORE the rebirth of the modern State of Israel is Israel's fault? Do you actually think that's a credible argument?

Shia and Sunnis started the long history of destroying each other shortly after Muhammad's birth. The whole concept of "taqiyya" was born out of the necessity for Shia to protect themselves from Sunnis forcing the Shia to convert and murdering them if they didn't.

Again, I refer you to the letter to the French PM by Sulemein Assad -- Hafez's grandfather, who praised the Jews in Israel and clearly alluded to the Sunni violence and ethnic cleansing towards Alawites. This letter was written in 1936.

"From Suleiman Assad of Syria:

Therefore a black future awaits the Jews and the other minorities if the Mandate is cancelled and Muslim Syria is unified with Muslim Palestine. This union is the ultimate goal of the Muslim Arabs."

It is clear to anyone who knows about Islam, that Islam will NEVER relinquish land it has once occupied, and Islam was a latecomer who occupied what has been the Land of Israel, with a Jewish presence in it for a at least 1500 years before Islam came into existence. In addition, ISRAEL IS COMPLETELY LEGAL.

I think it behooves you, Carrie, to use a knowledgeable source instead of the anti-Israel/anti-Semitic hate sites you seem attracted to like fly to piles of excrement.

PLEASE educate yourself using facts for a change.

Islam has produced nothing of note since the 15th century- and everything prior to that was an invention/ innovation of others such as Hindus, Chinese, Greeks, Romans, Ancient Egyptians (Copts) etc. To claim intellectual supremacy via a religion that was based on the hallucinations of a desert bandit is a dangerous fantasy that is at the base of all the violence and turmoil in the Middle East, and increasingly in the Western countries that have taken its adherents at face value and naively allowed the vilest aspects of the ideology to flourish and replace our hard won freedoms by stealth.

But should the truth be spoken about the M.E., then it becomes bigotry. Truth, the new hate.

Aurea,

"For the sake of parity both "sides" of the equation truly are at war not only with the "other side". Ultra orthodox jews vs Orthodox Jews vs conservatives."

Tell us how there is any MEANINGFUL "parity" here regarding violent Islam and the non-violent forms of Judaism.

Understanding has to be based on some sort of logic and reason. I cannot discern any in the quote above.

Dear Beth thank you ever so much for your not understanding what I am trying to say! If I do not completely agree with you, Patricia M, G M or Allan somehow I am in the wrong for wanting peace and understanding and that I do not know right from wrong? You even attempted to condone my suggestion about ignoring John. Let me see if I can make my position real clear. My family has been involved in wars for over a century and the last tragedy was my nephew losing his leg in Irag! I was against the war in Vietnam and my cousin died because of that other stupid war. I am for PEACE and civil disobedience. And I will reiterate what I said before "to respect another persons rights makes for peace" but because I respect your opinions does not in anyway make me surrender my beliefs! I will stand my ground till I drop dead and will turn the other cheek, but none of it will make me change my mind that ultimately peace SHALL OVERCOME! By the way my family on my moms side were Sephardic Jews and paid a very dear price for that not only in Spain, but also in Mexico. So lastly DO NOT make me an anti Semite

Dear Aurea,

One wonders how you can call others' comments "snarky", yet apparently feel no sense of hypocrisy when your comments are so much moreso.

I know John, who you've wrongly ACCUSED of writing as someone else, and although I might not choose to make my comments in the same manner as he has, I can very much relate to his frustration with the blatant hypocrisy, dishonesty, (Im)moral equivalency, puerile anti-Israel rhetoric and propaganda. There's only so much of that poison one can read without becoming nauseated or hostile.

I think it's admirable to want peace, Andrea. I know that the Israelis want peace very, very much, but they are not willing to commit suicide to achieve it, which is one of the two methods (the other homicide) that are the goals of the vast majority of Arabs.

You sound like you have a very intense family situation, and I think I can understand how much of that may have colored your thinking and emotions. I might very well feel the same way as you do if I had such a family history.

I respect your *feelings*, but again, the equivocation of the ghastly, perpetual, worldwide Islamic violence to non-violent Judaism, no matter what sect makes no sense. This argument lacks any sense of reason or logic; it is instead a biased, emotional and distorted one.

Again, despite your imploring and facetious tone, and understandably emotional reaction to your family's history with war, your argument about the "parity" Islam and Judaism remains fallacious to anyone without this sort of prejudice and distortion, and judging by the number of green stars I've received, most of the other people here on this thread see through your subterfuge, too.

The greatest problem the entire world has with the Israel and 'Palestine' is the UN granting a special privilege of refugee status inheritance to the 30 thousand Arab 'refugees' who voluntarily left the newly instated Israel because they were advised to leave by the surrounding Arab states (Jordan and Syria claimed 70% of the area of Palestine territory- never a sovereign state) as they were about to mount an armed invasion of Israel. Well they lost and Israel stands today. This unique status has seen the Palestinian diaspora grow to more than 5 million scattered around the globe and allows great-great-grandchildren in comfortable circumstances and full citizens by birth in the rich West to claim the right of return to 'Palestine'. Like WTF is that about? No other group on the planet has that right. If any group is to blame it is the UN for creating unrealistic expectations and unfairness.

I'll tell you what scares me. The Creator of our universe, in part, only in part, revealed in the Old Testament,
wants what the Islam people are giving to their god. Creator is not a soft sweet heart He's tougher than they come. He's in charge of karma. I believe there is only ONE GOD in this universe though he goes by many names. He's not getting what he wants from Christians or Jews, He is getting it from the Muslims.

Beth S their was only one comment that I directly attacked, putting president Obama who was a Nobel peace prize winner and then adding him as a "Muslim" read her post and you will see why I called her out on what I consider a snarky comment I further questioned her on whether she was also a birther. You can defend john all you want, but why is his bio almost blank and zero friends? as to my inane comment on parity, Muslims fight each other over everything and anything and have for a millelium, I also mentioned that those of the Jewish faith cannot and do not agree as to how to worship god the right way and even though Judaist beliefs do not descend into violence, there is a lot of ostracizing going on. My inane point as you keep calling it is, that we must unite across not only religous but culturals mores and then perhaps we might unite for peace. If that is inane so be it. I shared my families losses in war not because it has skewed my thinking, but because AGAIN we are looking at another war in Syria and it just never ends. Please be kind enough to point out where I am being facetious? I will again repeat, I may not agree with you, but I do respect your right to your opinions. Only when you try to trample with my right to freedom of speech and expression will we have a challenge. Lastly, I do not in any way form, shape or manner think I hold the only truth. But if wanting peace makes me seem judgemental so be it. Do you really think you are the only one receiving green stars for your comments? Now that is really infantile. I got green stars yah da dah and you didn't. Let us NOT GO THERE. Whatever further comments you make at me will not be responded too. Life is too short for this sort of acrimonious and futile repartee because if you bother to notice we are both on the same side of the fence.

Aurea, ignorant people have been accusing our President of being a Muslim since before he was elected the first time.

Many of them are furious because he sees his role as something larger than a CRUSADER against MUSLIMS! Instead of recognizing his actual JOB as President and representative to the entire world...they're PISSED because he supported a democratically elected government in Egypt, instead of smashing that country to bits in a war against Islam! And now, they blame him for not doing it, calling him a supporter of Islam, because he refuses to get involved in eradicating a religion.

Remember when Sarah Palin would parrot his full name (wink, wink) to make SURE people understood he had a middle-eastern name? Smear tactics, pure & simple.

“Beth S their was only one comment that I directly attacked, putting president Obama who was a Nobel peace prize winner and then adding him as a "Muslim" read her post and you will see why I called her out on what I consider a snarky comment I further questioned her on whether she was also a birther.”

-- Perhaps I didn’t read carefully, but I don’t know to whom or what you are referring regarding the Nobel peace prize or the birther question. Maybe, if you think it’s worth it, you can clarify this.

“You can defend john all you want, but why is his bio almost blank and zero friends?”

-- It sounds like a good question to ask John. My guess is that he is basically a shy and quiet person. I imagine that he doesn’t care about collecting pseudo friends. Again, I can only guess. You’ll probably get the best answers directly from John.

“as to my inane comment on parity, Muslims fight each other over everything and anything and have for a millelium, I also mentioned that those of the Jewish faith cannot and do not agree as to how to worship god the right way and even though Judaist beliefs do not descend into violence, there is a lot of ostracizing going on.”

-- Kids get ostracized for not wearing the “right” kind of blue jeans or the wrong sneakers. How does being ostracized by some other sect of Judaism in any way compare to the unbelievable and pervasive sick brutality of Islam? I’m glad we see eye to eye on the Muslims fighting.

“My inane point as you keep calling it is, that we must unite across not only religous but culturals mores and then perhaps we might unite for peace.”

-- I believe I had only used the word “inane” once, (until now).

-- Uniting over religious and culture mores means that the two groups would have to have a substantial amount of those in common. This is a much more complex and detailed subject. There are many similarities between Islam and Judaism, but there are extremely important and numerous dissimilarities.

“If that is inane so be it.”

-- I would say that your hopes/dreams/wishes are not rooted in reality. They are pie-in-the-sky, sounds nice bites, but seem completely oblivious to reality. And considering that Islam is at war with virtually every non-Islamic culture it comes into contact with, because of the command to wage jihad, and turn Dar al Harb into Dar al Islam, putting the onus of peace onto the shoulders of the Israelis, when it is Islam which absolutely rejects peace with not only non-Muslims, but also other kinds of Muslim sects, like Shia, Achmadi or Sufi, is deplorably unfair.

“I shared my families losses in war not because it has skewed my thinking, but because AGAIN we are looking at another war in Syria and it just never ends.”

-- but what does that have to do with Israel?

“Please be kind enough to point out where I am being facetious?”

-- “Dear Beth thank you ever so much for your not understanding what I am trying to say!”

“I will again repeat, I may not agree with you, but I do respect your right to your opinions.”

-- Thanks, same here, although I’m not completely sure that I understand your opinion(s).

“Only when you try to trample with my right to freedom of speech and expression will we have a challenge.”

-- Okay, I’ll bite. How have I prevented or trampled your right to freedom of speech or expression, or have I?
“Lastly, I do not in any way form, shape or manner think I hold the only truth.”

-- Good to see some humility here.

“But if wanting peace makes me seem judgemental so be it.”

-- No, wanting peace does not make you seem judgmental. Wanting peace is a sane, humane thing to want. But to say, “but if wanting peace makes me seem judgmental…..” sounds like you are disingenuously trying to score some points.

“Do you really think you are the only one receiving green stars for your comments?”

-- I have NO doubts, judging by a number of the posters like Robert O., “Elderberry”, and Carrie, that you are receiving quite a few.

“Now that is really infantile. I got green stars yah da dah and you didn't. Let us NOT GO THERE. Whatever further comments you make at me will not be responded too.”

-- I think a closer reading would indicate that was not at all my intent.

“Life is too short for this sort of acrimonious and futile repartee because if you bother to notice we are both on the same side of the fence.”

-- So life is not too short only when you want to engage in acrimonious and futile repartee? Let me be clear once again, my issue was with the statements you have made trying to make an immoral equivalency between Judaism and Islam – one murders, one ostracizes, so therefore, it’s all the same….

-- I’m glad to hear that we’re both on the same side of the fence.

President Obama: A member of Muslim Brotherhood According to Egyptian Press

September 3, 2013

According to the Al Jazeera news publication on Monday, Shadi Hamid – the Director of Research at the Brookings Doha Center in Doha, Qatar, who communicates regarding the Egyptian media – claims that President Barack Obama is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. The information came via Twitter account messages, as well as an Egyptian newspaper’s top story. Shadi also claimed within the story that Khairat al-Shafer -the son of the Muslim Brotherhood leader - threatened Obama with the release of documents revealing that he has a secret Muslim Brotherhood membership.

Beyond those allegations targeting Obama as a member of an Islamic group, the newspaper story asserts that Malik Obama – President Obama’s half-brother – is allegedly an Al Qaeda activist.

Additional reports, including those made by the Blaze, say that Arabic speaker Jonathan Spyer – a senior research fellow at the Global Research in International Affairs Center –claims that newspaper Al-Wafd is the one who specifically accused President Obama of being a member of the International Organization of the Muslim Brotherhood. Additionally, the article states that Obama first embraced the Muslim Brotherhood while living in Indonesia.

Spyer’s belief is that the publication is based on the ongoing discontent that Egyptians have with President Obama’s policies. Egyptians expressed frustration when Obama refused to state criticism of Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood. Those opposed to Morsi and his government see Obama as a strong supporter of Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. To this, Spyer says that there is “some degree of justification in the Egyptians’ accusations.” He continued to say that there is a large amount of paranoid anti-American and anti-western sentiment in Egypt. Egyptians, according to Spyer, believe Obama has an astonishingly naïve and misguided attitude toward the Muslim Brotherhood which they sincerely believe is produced by his secret membership.

There are publications stating that the Egyptian press knows no bounds when it comes to its criticism of Obama. The final analysis of the story will be engulfed in the documentation that Khairat al-Shafer does or does not produce.

I think this short quote sums the whole thing up.
" When regimes in the Middle East feel threatened by their own people, they immediately seek to blame the insurrection on Israel or ‘the Jews."
The same can be said of some of the uniformed contributors on this thread, who are so biased that no amount of reasoned argument is going to change their opinions.
110000 killed in Syria, millions injured and many millions of refugees. Where's the flotillas? Where's the BDS? Where's the condemnation, indignation? Where are the UN resolutions?
It's a funny old world when one tiny country, threatened for 65 years with annihilation is judged by completely different standards from all the others.

Oh Dear .....a lot of history presented. I don't believe there is any 'blame' for what occurs around the World to any one ethnic group, any one country, any one religion, any one thing specific. GOD created this World to be loved, respected, shared and cared for by all whom live and reign. God giveth many great minds & those great minds did many great things over thousands of years. The past is now gone, the future is what matters.
Will this World ever honor the Word of God again and live in PEACE, HARMONY & LOVE THY NEIGHBOR?
I surely hope so.

Carrie, your anti-Semitism and ignorance is breath taking. Israel is the only country in the world that had the backing of both the League of Nations and the United Nations and exists properly under international law.

In fact, using your logic, Jordan shouldn't exist either and that was land that actually belonged to Israel and was taken away from there and given to the "Palestinians" a race that didn't exist. Additionally, there are no legal rights to any of Israel by the Palestinians because they refused them.

Now, kindly explain to me on which grounds you are using to claim that Israel is illegal.

Carrie, by the way, the Arab world doesn't give a damn about the Palestinians and treat them appallingly and against international law. I recently uploaded a story about how the Lebanese treat them and you are conspicuous in your absence http://www.care2.com/news/member/100661215/3629171

Then, there are the terrible abuses against non-Muslims by Muslims which I have also uploaded which you have also ignored. In other words you are only interested in abusing Israel and, by extenuation, anti-Semitic and your other comments also show this.

As your behaviour is extremely racist/anti-Semitic and not welcome anywhere.

Oh, lets blame the Jews for the Arab Spring. The Jews have been the West's scapegoat for everything. They financed both sides in WW I & WWII. It's the Jew's fault that Hitler's killed millions of people in gas chambers. OH! Wait! That means the Jew's are responsible for the gas chamber's the Nazi's used to kill Jews. The Jews have nothing to do with the Arab Spring. The Arab peoples were being subjugated by their despotic leaders and finally have had enough. Simple as that.

Sometimes it is best to remain quiet and usually in the debate over Judaism(Israel) v Islam there is no sensible argument. I guarantee you that if you visit the Middle East you will almost certainly prefer social exchanges with Arabs to those you may have with Israelis. The real question isn't whether one group is cleverer than the other or more relevant than the other in any field of study. The real question isn't even about the existence of Israel, it is about the buffer between two major proselytizing religious groups (Islam and Christianity). We are all embroiled within a stalemate of a game of chess where the loss of a piece spells disaster. I ask you to consider: What is truth? Either Jesus was the Messiah and son of God or Jesus was just another prophet. Once you make this decision, play the game accordingly. http://www.wikihow.com/Win-Chess-Almost-Every-Time

Beth S. (323)
Tuesday September 3, 2013, 10:26 pm
Heidi, you make a LOT of presumptions. Who cares if YOU prefer social exchanges with Muslims over Israelis. It is irrelevant. Do you prefer being beheaded by Islamists roaming free around the world, even if they're friendly at first to draw you in? Now that may be more relevant. I realize that not all Muslims heed to the call of Jihad, but hundreds of millions do. That's a LOT more relevant than who you enjoy talking to.

In the Middle East, there is NO question but that Christianity has already lost big time. There are resurgences in the Middle and South Americas, but the Iranians are making huge headway converting populations in these same areas to Shia Islam.. To me that's pretty relevant. There are other places around the world budding with new Christians. Christianity was, is and will continue to be on the defensive with Islam, because Islam kills before asking questions.

Christians are being killed off by the tens of thousands where Islam encroaches. Who speaks for them? Certainly not the U.S. government, nor any European governments.

The argument is sensible. You can remain quiet if you don't understand the stakes or one is trying to delude others that there are none. We are facing the emergence of a world-wide Caliphate: the goal of the Muslim Brotherhood -- the largest Islamist movement in the world, Al Qaeda and affiliates and Iran.

The argument is this: stand up for freedom, human rights, the right to choose your religion or reject it without being murdered, as Islam commands those who convert out be, and let your precious rights slip away while blaming Israel, and you'll be kissing some Islamists' rear ends, begging for your life, which you will not be able to keep, and quite literally your head, or you'll be going to mosque, circumcised, or maybe be wearing cloth covering your body from head to toe.

For me there's no choice. But to all those out there who don't think this is relevant, you have some waking up to do.

Stand for Israel, the beacon of hope and freedom. Even most of the Egyptians are starting to get it. You need to get it, too.

Exactly Hartson, and judging by the visceral opposition to this article and thread, in other words, pointing out for example that Israel is not to blame for the Sunni/Shi'a war in Syria is met with such visceral opposition, that it is sadly very much STILL active and alive, the desire by some in the West to scapegoat the Joos for everything ..

My sentiments exactly Giana. Israel is for me the greatest country to live in, where all have the same rights, freedom of religion, speech, freedom in any thing within reason. First we had 6,000 years ago a race of barbarians called Hyksos who invaded Egypt and were allowed to settle in the south . They realised the power that was contained by the Pharaoh in the north who refused to give this knowledge to those sent to him to extract it from him so he and his two high priests were murdered and to avoid civil war the Hyksos were expelled and under leadership of Tutmoses (moses) he reinvented his followers into a business called Hebrew and came up with a new power as he did not get the knowledge of the pyramid activation to control humanity as he wanted and now the pyramids etc were shut down to protect humanity. the new power was the invention of money and how to create it out of thin air. All religions and government now come under the power of the banksters who control the fabrication of money out of thin air and woe betide anyone who tries to stand up to them and to keep us diverted this small group commonly known as Zionist use the term and people of Israel known as Jews as the scapegoats. They also insure our true history is kept hidden from us by controlling what is published which is one of the reasons why its claimed our history only goes back 5,000 years as mentioned in the Koran and other bibles they created over the centuries, but they acted in honour by telling us the truth but it was encoded so only those with eyes would see it.

@ Beth and others
I am sure you already know this but it seems others may benefit from a little insight

The Koran is normally printed in an order that starts with the longest chapters (Surah) and ends with the shortest chapter. There are conflicting verses within the Koran and Islamic scholars explain this by saying the verses that were written last supersede or abrogate the earlier version. Therefore, it is necessary to know the chronological order of the chapters. For example, Chapter/sura 96 was written first. Therefore if there are any verses that contradict what is written in chapter/sura 96, that verse abrogates what is written in Surah 96. The numbers below show the chronological order for each Surah . Notice that Surah 9 was the next to the last Surah to be written. Therefore, it supersedes everything before it. Surah 9 is one of the most violent Surahs in the Koran.
96, 74, 111,106, 108, 104, 107, 102, 105, 92, 90, 94, 93, 97, 86, 91, 80, 68, 87, 95, 103, 85, '73, 101, 99, 82, 81, 53, 84,100, 79, 77, 78, 88, 89, 75, 83, 69, 51, 52, 56, 55, 112, 109, ll3, 114, 1, 54, 37, 71, 76, 44, 50, 20, 26, 15, 19, 38, 36, 43, 72, 67, 23, 21, 25, 17, 27, 18, 32, 41 45, 16, 30, 11, 14,12, 40, 28, 39, 29, 31, 42, 10, 34, 35, 7, 46, 6, 13, 2, 98, 64, 62, 8, 47, 3, 61, 57, 4, 65, 59, 33, 63, 24, 58, 22, 48, 66, 60,110, 9, and 5.
Sura 5 can to all intents and purposes be ignored

If in the koran any verses are thought to be peaceful ....sura 9 knocks them for a six

9:5 Slay the idolaters wherever you find them.
9:6 Those who submit and convert to Islam will be treated well. (Those who don't submit will be killed. See previous verse.)
9:7-9 Don't make treaties with non-Muslims. They are all evildoers and should not be trusted.
9:11 Treat converts to Islam well, but kill those who refuse to convert (see 9:5).
9:12-14 Fight the disbelievers! Allah is on your side; he will give you victory.
9:23 Don't make friends with your disbelieving family members. Those who do so are wrong-doers.
9:29 Fight against Christians and Jews "until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low."
9:33 The "Religion of Truth" (Islam) must prevail, by force if necessary, over all other religions.
9:41 Fight for Allah with your wealth and whatever weapons are available to you.
9:42 Those who refuse to fight for Allah (claiming they are unable) are liars who have destroyed their souls.
9:73 Fight the disbelievers and hypocrites. Be harsh with them. They are all going to hell anyway.
9:81-83 Those who refuse to give their wealth and lives to Allah will face the fire of hell.
9:85 Those who refuse to fight for Allah will be treated (along with their children) as unbelievers.
9:111 Believers must fight for Allah. They must kill and be killed. Allah will reward them for it.
9:123 Fight disbelievers who are near you, and let them see the harshness in you.

This is the last and final word on non muslims before Muhammed died

Muhsin Khan, the translator of Sahih al-Bukhari, says God revealed sura 9 in order to discard restraint and to command Muslims to fight against all the pagans as well as against the People of the Book if they do not embrace Islam or until they pay religious taxes. So, at first aggressive fighting was forbidden; it later became permissible (2:190) and subsequently obligatory (9:5). This "verse of the sword" abrogated, canceled, and replaced 124 verses that called for tolerance, compassion, and peace.

The Egyptian theologian Abu Suyuti said that everything in the Quran about forgiveness and peace is abrogated by verse 9:5, which orders Muslims to fight the unbelievers and to establish God's kingdom on earth.

After reading this Israel seems a good place to live and they are obeying G_ds command to live in peace or at least trying to against a lying manipulative (of simple minds) foe whose "No Quarter" ideology is paramount in their heads.

“It is Israeli citizens who are now stampeding for gas masks, not those of the US, in preparation for what might follow if President Obama does unleash part of America’s vast arsenal in the direction of sites believed to hold Assad’s chemical weapons.”

Yes, Israel is in lots of danger. The people of Islam or the people of the Muslim ideology are extremely delusional. They lack clarity of mind. They sincerely do!

Obama is delusional. He really is not okay upstairs. Every speech contradicts some other speech in the past. He takes claims or stands on issues he never supported in the past. He is wishy-washy and very scary to the alert, observant mind!!!

I do not respect or trust Obama. However, he has represented a perfect example of the Muslim character and the ideology those people share.

Through observing him, I now agree and share the same opinions with the United States’ Founding Fathers. John Adams, Quincy Adams, Thomas Jefferson and a few more Founding Fathers spoke against Islam.

I am still confounded and confused over how a once Christian nation allowed a Muslim, a person incompatible to Western Ideologies, to become a U.S. president.

The enemy wants to give: terror, death, pain, hunger, hate
