The City of Halifax refused to grant the single owner of a a dog abruptly seized for euthanization a request for an expert assessment and transfer to a foster home for the duration of a court case, or until the matter can be resolved out of court.

Account of the seizure of Brindi, a dog that the city of Halifax wants to put down for minor offenses involving a single minimal injury. The dog has never threatened or bitten a human, and the city since acknowledged she is not a danger to people.
