Tja; little wonder, with ever more powerful corporations pumping more&more money into their [totally-whacko] propaganda and an ever more stupidified population (ever more eager for any excuse to feed their denial-systems) swallowing it ... AND no end to the elephant in the room, the population explosion -- what else could one expect ?
