The intelligence communities must get together and solve this heinous kidnapping
immediately and return the girls to their homes.
Punish those involved with life sentences.
Girls & women are not commodities to be sold or traded or to pay off a debt.
No girl and women should not be forced into a marriage they do not want.
No girls or women should ever be treated as slaves.
No girls or women should ever be treated against their wishes, personal beliefs.

I have been thinking of these girls and their parents since I first heard of their abduction. These young girls will never be the same, as their treatment has been terrible. The parents have been trying on their own, but don't have the equipment to go into the forests, they are heart broken. The Nigerian Govt. has been very slow to react to this terrible situation. I would hope that the United Nations with their troops would go to Nigeria to help, at least the United States has promised help.My heart goes out to all involved in this nightmare.
Noted with thanks Zoe and Art.

This is sick. I was under the impression that slavery had been abolished unfortunately it seems I was wrong the whole world needs to band together to find these girls and return them to their parents. Thank you Art and Zoë.

this happened about two weeks ago as far as I can remember, and no government in the world has reacted at all. If it were men, voices would already have been protesting everywhere. GGGRRRRR .......... makes me very angry, and I feel so powerless

@CAROL.On the contrary,we well know that they are being used as sex-slaves and prostitutes ... don't hide your face:rape belongs to power and wars ... and all governments should interfere

What baffles me is the slow pace of the Nigerian Government to do something about this???
Boko Haram is not a recente problem and they've had plenty of time to deal with this group for years.Maybe getting the US involved will help to resolve the situation??? I just don't like that USA is becoming the worlds policeforce, but I hope and pray that these girls can be saved and returned to their families.

Noted & signed the Petition earlier. I am ashamed that the leader says,'' he is going to sell women''. This is 2014, are we living in barbaric times? Is the world asleep as no Government has condemned the abduction of these girls.

Wild West Nigeria housing a World Economic Forum these days in Abuja. May the girls return home safely and this gorilla guerilla be held responsible. Everybody stand up against slavery!

Noted. signing all the petitions I can find on this tragic sistuation.
This is blatant "Modern day Slavery" sadly these are the girls the world knows about. They have people who will fight for their release. That does not take away from the horror and suffering they and their families are enduring.
To make a greater contribution in human rights causes, particularly in sex slavery and human trafficking, consider joining this Care2 group: Slavery Today
Slavery Today, a human rights group in Care2 and Facebook

The fundamentalist crazies here, ought to take a lesson from this crap: They want no "Western education," for these girls, so one way of preventing that, is to have them married off. What is wrong with a "Western education?" It will teach them secular things, secular realities, rather than religious myth, the Islamic version of Creationism, among other things.
So, let's take more people, out of the educational mainstream, here, out of the chance for productive professional lives, in the U.S., where major companies have long been worried about finding qualified employees!
Oh, they don't need qualified employees, they just need people to sit around and obsess over the coming Rapture, silly me!

Thank you both for helping raise awareness. This outrage - together with Malala's story - must make us all more (not less) fierce in our defence of education for all women and girls. The more educated women are, the less likely they'll be to bring up sons who behave in this ignorant and fearful way.

As saddened and horrified as I am about these tragic abductions, I'd prefer for the US not to get involved. Too many trust issues collected through the years of our world history. May the Nigerian government do what it needs to find the girls and bring them back and may all the assistance they get in doing so be completely interests-free...

Catch this crazy lunatic immeditly and castrate him in public!!!!
Don´t we have enough international intelligence and means to locate them?
My heart weeps for the girls and their families.

Odds are that a left alone dog gets more attention than terrorists who kidnap and slaughter men and burn down whole villages. Thanks to all who commented here and signed the petitions.
Saturday May 10, 2014, 8:21 pm
Signed and thank you for the forward, Jesco, my friend. It is hard to think on such sad things happening, but harder still to live as an ignorant person who knows not evil of the world. How can we oppose what we do not know?

This stupid guy is an idiot and a criminal. Msy he be caught alive and imprisoned! I wish these girls will be able to go back home to their families and friends soonest! I have signed and shall sign all pertinent petitions in this sense! On this day of celebration of Mother’s Day, I think of all the mothers who have lost a child!

This is what I call bad news but we need to know it which is why I believe in keeping up to date with the news in this world of ours.
My heart goes out to the girls and their families.
