#1 Method: STOP EATING EGGS.

Battery hens are caged in 1'x 1' cages, sometimes with more than one bird, and crammed together to "save space" and bring in maximum profit to egg producers. They've never seen the light of day, their feet have never known anything but cruel wire cage bottoms, and they are forced to breathe a noxious chemical soup of vapours from their own droppings and those of thousands of other birds. Birds at the bottom of cage rows live in a perpetual rain of feces. Force-fed "diets" of chemicals for quick growth and then starved for a forced molt to "get them into egglaying condition that depletes the birds of calcium so that her own body robs her own bones, these birds are then forced to lay eggs. Those who can't anymore are discarded like trash.

Need to read more to understand that this is inhumane and therefore unacceptable, or do you need additional information to understand how the abuse of the birds also affects YOUR health?

We need more people working on legislation that bans this abusive corporate practice

Corporate farm chickens are also fed antibiotics and in many cases growth hormones, as well as ......byproducts, which makes up their feed. This is a fancy term for ground up pets, farm animal parts not used for food, minks, sheep, goats and etc. Brains from cows and other critters are also in the mix.

In Britain this brain and nerve mixture in feed of cows, sheep and chickens caused mad cow disease in humans. Over here, we call it Alzheimers, which about 50% of elderly seniors have nowadays.. They say there is no cure... well, right, if one keeps eating the stuff that causes it. Over there, they proved that a link exists and that the disease organism that causes Mad Cow Disease is NOT killed by cooking.

btw, (i recently read that) EU"authorities" announced that the ban on feeding cattle with ground meat (animal waste) is going to be lifted because MCD is (believed to be) *NEARLY* extinct (( seems they want to make sure to avoid that it goes really extinct, or what?))

Something is definitely wrong with regulation of the food industry. The current salmonella-tainted egg recall: 380 MILLION EGGS, DISTRIBUTED UNDER 10 DIFFERENT BRANDS IN 17 DIFFERENT STATES, ALL FROM A SINGLE PRODUCER.

Senate Bill S 510 would make it illegal to grow, share, trade or sell homegrown food. Unfortunately, as it is currently written, S. 510 would actually make our food less safe.
