Few people understand how close this nuclear power plant came to a meltdown after hurricane Sandy hit. Six nuclear power plants were forced into shutdown due to this storm, which was only a Category I. What would have happened if it had been a Cat 5?

Here is the reason why I HATE and do not support nuclear energy. If it goes bad it does more harm than we could ever cope with.

I wish I could see this but for some reason I'm getting a message saying I can't. Well, this plant is one of the older models and I'm not surprised that it has problems.
No Nuclear is my philosophy.

Who's in charge of the Salem and Oyster Creek safety program in NJ? TEPCO?!?! For now, truck in AGREKKO portable diesels to power the cooling systems and maintain the reactor core safe; then let the US NAVY come in and upgrade this critter!

No one is safe. Shut down those archaic nuclear plants. Start investing in sustainable energy. The sooner the better.
