The Australian Government has released evidence challenging Japan's claims that its hunt is the most efficient and humane possible. The images show "scientific research" that needed multiple rifle shots to finish off the mammal.

Noted. I knew I could not watch the video and it is with a sinking heart that I even note another article on humankind's indifference to animals. What an arrogance. Thank you, cannot be easy to stay on top of stories like this.

The only way to stop this is if the people use their buying power to show Japan that we do not accept this!
No country will do anyhting against Japan Australia is very nice to Japan and how can you agree to
disagree on something so crucial to the entire world.....32 countries and the complete EU have protested!
So what? Japan is the winner Greenpeace has gone they have saved 100 do they know
that Japan will not kill 1200 Whales this year they have enough power reach the target unlike greenpeace
and Sea Shepherd! Why is nobody interested to stop this once and for all????
I understand Greenpeace and Se Shepherd same time same place same donations same activists.....

What i do not understand is all the whaledefenders who try to stop this...where are they?????

The Boycott on Japan is very political! But the more you think about it you have a better way
to stop the killing?

Both the Australian Government and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, independantly of each other ARE doing what they can to stop whaling in the Antarctic Ocean and the Australian Whale Sanctuary down there. The Australian Government IS gathering evidence to take it to the International High Court to stop whaling in the Australian Antarctic Whale Sanctuary. It's the International Whaling Commission who have allowed the loop-hole for Japan to hunt under the guise of "Scientific Research". The IWC is who everyone should be writing to. Also, a lot Aussies actualy DO NOT BUY products from Japan. They have been doing this for years already.

I still want to know why it's being allowed.
They're breaking International laws.

It's the International Whaling Commission who have allowed the loop-hole for Japan to hunt under the guise of "Scientific Research". The link provided explains the loop-hole. This is the loop-hole that Australia and other Countries have been trying to close for many years. The sad thing is Japan is not breaking any international laws as the Southern Whale Sanctuary is not recognised internationaly as being part of Australia even though they helped create it and now manage it, and this is why Australia is gathering evidence to take to the International High Court of Law. All anyone can do is write to the IWC to voice their protests. The next meeting of the IWC is in Chile 2008. Here's the link for further information.

Tell Rudd What you think of it, since he is only sending one ship for observation. Just like greenpeace, watching does not do it!! Here is Kevin Rudds email: send him an email, I am sure he would love to hear from all of you, LOL.

And do you see the website advertised on the photo, on the ship, have a look at it, this must be the Japanese whalers website. they are complaining, Ha ha, go Sea Shepherd.

Dear Bea! Thank you we should focus on the public opinion!!!
Worldwide but also in Japan if it is true that more than 60% of the Japanese people think that this RESEARCH
is allright we will have to send a few ambassadors to Japan. This is not OK, nobody seems to be able to stop this there has never been more protest and more whalewatching! The japanese air armed all whalewatchers are unarmed! WHY? We the people on this earth can stop this slaughter if we stop buying JAPANESE PRODUCTS! You BEA have understood that but Billions of people follow business as usual! Why cannot SEA Shepherd call for a BOYCOTT ON JAPAN until the killing stops? He can still try to stop them at SEA.....
But i am sure that they will kill 1000 or more whales for their research! Who counts them GREENPEACE?????
We cannot tell the JAPANESE PEOPLE what to eat and what to do but we can stop buying from these PEOPLE who think that they can do

Scientific research my butt!!!!! And anyway any research using animals is faulty and cruel.....there are much more advanced methods of research now in use....and they don't require the killing of any animals whatsoever!!!!!!!!

Hans, I will try and go straight to the top, to Captain Watson, and ask him to call a boycott too. He may have other avenues to get the message out.
It would be great, if somebody could inform Greenpeace of the boycott, maybe they will contribute aswell??
Although I am aware , that a boycott will hurt a lot of non Japanese people, and also innocent Japanese people, like the employees of Mitsubishi in Adelaide, but what else can be done. And I am sorry for them!
Beware where you seek work. Or get out now, because this boycott is happening!. So come on people lets
get serious, get this message out of care 2, into mainstream, we can do it.

Japanese Government is presently building a huge whaling ship, bigger then all the others, investing millions, because they have no intentions to stop.

We want to support all real whaledefenders, Fred van Olphen the man who has made all the wildlifepictures in the wildlifefoundation album has agreed to support Sea Shepherd by selling the pictures for Paul Watson!
Just take a look at as soon as Paul Watson calls for the Boycott i will immediately put him
on the frontpage of all my sites..., and also here in care2! Please try and see if he reacts Sea Shepherd Europe did not react. They do not seem to know the Godfather of Outdoor in Europe.....Fred would love to join Paul Watson on his next whaling mission!
And we can come up with nice support from the outdoor industry too!

Dear Captain Watson,

I am in owe for what you are doing. Your courage is impressing me!! You have a lot more cloud then Greenpeace. I cannot understand, why they don't work with you together?

I am a member of Care2, where a few of us have started a campaign to BOYCOTT JAPANESE PRODUCTS, TILL THE KILLING STOPS. I was wondering, if you had any other ideas or avenues to support this boycott? Maybe we need Sea shepherd to call a boycott as well? I am searching for ideas. some of the activists in care 2 will ask Greenpeace to support it as well, but I have a feeling they won't. But I am adamant that a boycott could help. What do you think? I will also call on ALV vic to support it too.

But there is more:

I personally would like to meet you. I would like to have dinner with you, and maybe the crew, on board of the Steve Irwin. In return for a monetary contribution, towards your expenses. Could you be agreeable to that?

Waiting for your response

a big fan of yours

Bea Brinkley
