The Polar Bear, a large relative of the brown bear, is found in polar regions of the northern hemisphere, including the United States (Alaska), Canada, Russia, Norway and Greenland. Polar bears can be easily identified by their beautiful yellow / white coat, which both insulates the animal from the arctic cold and serves as camouflage when hunting. The polar bear is famous for its long swimming expeditions, sometimes covering hundreds of miles in one trip.
