|I gave this drawing to my wife as a gift. She is an owl enthusiast. The point of view is from the tree tops at eye level, thus giving the viewer a sense that she is another owl. This is also implied by the relaxed nature of this owl which can be a very temperamental bird. However, the bird is stirring from its daytime slumber, the tufts are raised and it is gazing out of the picture frame. Perhaps danger or a potential meal is not too far off.
