It sounds a cliche but Cornwall does indeed have numerous unspoiled fishing villages, where men still earn a hard living from the unforgiving sea. Mousehole, in the far South West of the County, is such a place. Houses tumble down to the granite walled harbour. Cats sleep on doorsteps in the summer sunshine. Unlike a lot of tourist photographs this one was not set up. The lobster pots and nets were already draped over the harbour wall.
