San Ignacio Bay in Baja, Mexico, is the pre-school for baby Grey Whales, or 'calves.' The cows stay nearby to teach them techniques that will get them safely up the Pacific Coast to Alaska. Sometimes a 'friendly' will swim up to the rubber raft to the delight of human visitors who can pet, scratch, and even kiss a curious calf.- photographer, Don Kornelly.
