I was photographing wildlife in Denali National Park, Alaska, when I
spotted a grizzly sow with two cubs in nearby moist tundra. The sow was
trying to catch a ground squirrel while the cubs played together close by.
After the squirrel escaped, the sow walked away, leaving the cubs to
themselves. They soon realized mom was gone, and frantically began
searching for her. As luck would have it, they got very close to me. I was
able to get some great images before the sow reappeared and the cubs
scampered off in her direction. |
