Water Planet E-Cards!
Established in 1821 (only a few years after Perry's famous naval battle offshore), the Marblehead
Lighthouse is the oldest light in continuous operation on the Great Lakes. The 65 foot tall tower is
constructed of stone, and has hardly changed in it's one and a quarter century existence. We have
visited and climbed the lighthouse many times, with this particular photo taken in the fall of 1998.
