Land Of Standing Rocks, 1988. Canyonlands National Park, Utah.
Near the end of a grueling and arduous drive through the Maze District, a remote and vast area of Canyonlands National Park, I spotted some interesting sweeping clouds gradually working their way over the complex landscape. I quickly set up the camera, with the help of an assistant, and was able to generate two negatives, the first of which had a jet trail in the sky. To me, this image symbolizes the great American West, with itís exciting skies, grand vistas, and wide open spaces.
