anonymous Encouragement! Many tiny raindrops! June 25, 2008 3:18 AM

A man from Pakistan told me this:
"Many small raindrops will make a large river!"
If you are like me you become discouraged with all the bad news; however, like the tiny raindrops our prayers and actions become a mighty river!"
Be encouraged that what ever you are doing is making a difference!
Grace and Peace in the name of the Lord Jesus!
Your sister in Christ,

Hi everyone!
This artwork is a little abstract. I was experimenting with Illustrator. It just ended up this way so I decided to use it for the fourth of July. I hope you like it. Anyway, Happy and safe 4th of July. It sounds like we are under siege in this village!

I have a terrible time memorizing the Bible. I was reading a book "What Believers Must Know to Grow" by Tom Carter and this pastor suggested reading the bible 15 minutes a day, starting with the New Testament and he said if you do this you will have the whole Bible read in a year. I figure a person can go one step further and read the New Testament four times before the Old Testament, By reading one gospel, and the rest of the New Testament, and than another gospel and the New Testament. By the time you have read all four gospels, you will know the New Testament pretty well. Tom Carter also says that, no matter how many times you read the Bible there will be something new for you to learn. So I figure it's worth a try! Donna    [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Dear friend of the persecuted,

It is with great joy that I can share with you that Maryam Rostampour and Marzieh Amirizadeh have been released from prison today!!! I would like to express a heartfelt thank you to each person who sent an email to the Iranian authorities on behalf of Maryam and Marzieh. You used your time and freedom to play a part in pressuring the Iranian government for their release. It is a beautiful demonstration of Christian unity when so many individuals and organizations join together to speak out for suffering believers worldwide.

Maryam and Marzieh were imprisoned for over 9 months in Iran’s most notorious Evin prison, simply for their faith in Christ. Both women have been released without bail which is another blessing. Unfortunately, the government did not drop the two remaining charges of “apostasy” and “propagation of the Christian faith” with which the women have been charged. This means the women could be re-arrested and will have these charges hanging over them. Please join us in:

  • Praising God for the release of Maryam and Marzieh!
  • Praying for quick and complete physical healing of both women who are in poor health and need medical attention
  • Praying that the 2 remaining charges against the women would be dropped quickly

What do you think of this? I have been meaning to create a fireplace. It's the first one I've done. I will pray for everyone who needs prayer, and also that everyone is safe and warm. Donna  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

  EPHESIANS 6:10-20
10.] Finally let the mighty strength of the Lord make you strong. 11.] Put on all the armor that God gives so that you can defend yourself against the devil's tricks. 12,] We are not fighting against humans. We are fighting against powers and authorities and against rulers of darkness and powers of the spiritual world. 13.] So put on all the armor that God gives. Then when that evil day comes you will be able to defend yourself.  And when the battle is over you will still be standing firm.

Jesus asked His disciples; as Intercessors,to pray for laborers to go and harvest for the need was and is very great. Everywhere you see lost souls and worldly troubles. Jesus knew that this was a great need and therefore wanted intercessors to pray. As an intercessors you should seek God's will in this.
How great the need is! How important your prayer and support is. Jesus asked us and has given us permission to pray for laborers for the harvest. This should be an unceasing prayer for the intercessors of today!

Love, the World and Jesus!
As you go about your daily business and hear the radio music, see television and movies, books and magazines all explaining love in one way or another. You pretty much get the idea that love is about romantic interludes and sex. With Valentines day coming up you see candy, flowers and cards for sale and on the internet you can sign up for arranged meetings with the partner that is right for you. But Jesus had a different idea of what love was.
First Jesus tells us that we must forgive each other for our wrongs (trespasses),
He also tells us we must turn the other cheek, give our coat to those who ask and walk the extra mile. Jesus tells us that we must be kind to others, help the poor and feed the hungry. He tells us the story of the man who was beat by robbers and left for dead and how the good Samaritan cleaned his wounds, bound his wounds with medicine (herbs) and bandages, took him to an inn and paid to have him looked after. In true measure love is a Godly and sacrificial act, brought on by compassion. This can be the most difficult kind of love to act on. To give a part of yourself, to forgive and to help others, and yet Jesus tells us that we will be rewarded in heaven for this kind of love. It is not an imposition to give part of your garden vegetables to a low income family; or to sew clothing and quilts for the poor, or to buy a coat for someone that is cold, to give a homeless person a ride to a shelter or to save a small portion of your groceries each week for someone who in the future may need them, it is a gift from God.

I received a letter from a car lot that I had won a prize and so yesterday I went in to get it and it turns out that they just wanted people to come in to buy a car. It was a scam. There is more to the story! The other day when I was in the grocery store, my teacher asked me if I still had a certain textbook! I said yes and she asked if I would sell it to a student that needed one because the bookstore had discontinued them. So I took it into her office and yesterday after I got home from a disappointing visit to the car lot, my teacher called and said that a student had bought it for $40.00 and she would mail me the money. I think Jesus was telling me that while the world may scam that He is always honest and will take care of our needs!
I need to get  new batteries for my camera so that I can take some new photos. I am running out of photographs. I also need a new pair of jeans because mine have got big holes in them, so that $40.00 dollars will help me to buy those jeans.
How is everyone? We don't have any snow but it has been cold, cold, cold, cold. I think we all are getting tired of winter. I haven't walked my dog much because I am afraid of falling on the ice. She certainly misses our walks, but about a month ago I fell really hard on some ice and hit my head hard enough that I was bleeding a little and had a nice size goose egg. My head has healed up but my fear of falling again hasn't. I will be glad when the ice is gone and I miss those spring flowers quite a bit!
Have a wonderful day! God Bless! Donna

MATTHEW 5:44-45

Hello everyone! Today it is snowing steadily here without letup and it is cold! The cats are snuggled inside and I am waiting for my son to come home from work! He's a night worker but it's only part time work. My dog loves the snow so she can't figure out why I don't want to be outside. I wish I could be gardening! But I did get some seed catalogs so I can look at all the beautiful flowers and vegetables and trees and dream anyway!
Everyone have a wonderful Sunday! God Bless! Donna
