Hi October 18, 2006 5:51 AM

I'm fairly new to care2, and thanks to my friend Kaia, I've been introduced to care2.  This seems to be a really nice group, I love nature, I'm surrounded by it.  I live on the Appalachian Route In New-Brunswick Canada, what a beautiful area!  The most common animals to see around here are the Moose, bears, and deer.  It's not rare to see one in my yard, especially the bears, since we have an apple tree in the yard lol...  I love horses too, and I am working my butt off fencing in my yard so I can get a couple.  Wish me luck!

Hugs.........

Welcome Angelina!  WOW You sound like you live in a terrific and beautiful place!  It must be sooo cool to see wildlife so close in your yard!  Good luck on getting those horses...and please feel free to share any pics, especially of the wildlife that visits your yard!  We'd love to see them!

And thanks Eric for the welcome!

I chose to join this group for sharing good causes  with others so we might make a difference in this world for the better .

I love to recycle and find more effective and less expensive ways to do  everyday things .  I have a teenage son age 14  and  he's  so uncaring and unmotivated , it's a dilemma for me  to get him to reuse things but I do have him helpingme take the recycling  to the"trash" at least.

Are there any teen recycling clubs around I wonder ?

A warm welcome to all of our newest members!  Make yourselves at home, and feel free to contribute on anything to do with nature!

As for teen recycling clubs.....not sure...but you may be able to find a group for that on Care2...if not, why not start your own?  I'm sure there is probably alot of teens out there who could benefit from it!

dialup vs. broadband January 08, 2007 4:59 PM

Joan, I have broadband that uses my phone service, both charge me a little bit (about $10 each) but it's worth it. Check out Sitestar or Velocitus if you like! Pennie Mumm penniemumm@velocitus.net  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

UNTIL WE'RE ALL VEGETARIANS : BETTER FACE THIS September 30, 2010 12:19 PM

http://www.care2.com/c2c/group/mercyfarm

The more vegetarians the better, but many people still are not which means that a few «run from the main problem» others are the main problem (those buying cheap meat...poultry meat), so is there a 3rd way, meanwhile? yes. Join the group that is not ideal but is the best we COULD REALLY DO for now. Bless you.
