Wild Fact About Me
My Philosophy I love this planet and in general I do love people. But I do love animals more. I want to help bring awareness to others that the nature of all animals on this planet means they are sentient beings and they must be protected as such. Humans have almost destroyed our home through greed and mismanagement and it is time to repair our world - before it is too late
What Gives Me Hope Oddly enough, people do give me hope. I am surrounded on a daily basis by people who devote most of their lives to the survival of others, and I also see people who suffer greatly but do not want to let go of life. Seeing these groups of people gives me strength, hope and the honor of sharing their lives.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by Close down factory farming, and educate people through public programs about the reality of dietary needs. We fill our plates up in western countries, not because we need the food that we consume, but because we HAVE the food we want to consume, while others starve. It doesn't have to be this way.
What/who changed my life and why Undergoing the process of kidney failure....again
It has challenged me in ways that have made me stronger, and taught me that I am loved and that I do love rather than just coast along. I needed that wakeup call. It has also shown me that I would rather be on a kidney machine for the rest of my life than be to the reason that an animal has suffered because its organs would be compatible with my body. I would never purchase an organ either, even if it means that I am in the hospital three times a week for the rest of my life. I am shocked by the organ trade and if there is a way to halt it...count me in! I love this planet even more now. If I could live forever (all logistics aside of course) I would! I have not always felt this way and now that I do - I will hold on to that love of life! I wouldnt change a thing about the journey that has brought me here.

I am new to care2 and I feel like I have come home

I know its a strange thing to say but all of the things

I am passionate about are here...right here.

It is fantastic to make a difference to the causes that

I care about rather than just look at sad stories and cry.

    There are marvelous people here.

Peace and love - from Trish M
