Political Leaning Very Liberal
Wild Fact About Me Partied with Jimi Hendrix in Miami when I was 15 years old, 1970; had dinner with Timothy Leary after interviewing him on videotape, 1979; have an early version of my first book of original poetry -- also signed with short original poems by Allen Ginsberg, Gregory Corso, Peter Orlovsky, Robert Bly, and many others, at St Marks Church NYC, early 1980's; got recording advice between sessions from Lenny Kravitz at Waterfront Studios Hoboken NJ 1992, while working on my first single "A Forest of Trees"; briefly annoyed Woody Allen at Michaels Pub one Monday evening, a couple of months after I graduated from film school and my parents talked me into going into NYC to "see him", 1979;

had two sold out shows in 2002 at the Hollywood Underground Film Festival for my experiential, experimental 30 minute video art work (produced with the Etheros Collaborative) about meditation in the material world, "Maya", which was completed and released ten days before September 11th 2001 -- the last two shots of the video (shot as tests of a new camera we had purchased, out of our studio window in a Hoboken artists loft which happened to face lower Manhattan -- we then decided to use the best of these test shots at the end of the video for their intrinsic symbolic meaning, visually summarizing our theme of Maya in the material world) -- oddly and coincidently, after editing the test material, we decided to feature our first edited test shot of a jet flying past the moon, which then dissolves into the second and final edited test shot -- of the World Trade Center, glistening in the sun as an ornamental monument in frozen sky -- with the shadows of time-lapsed clouds running across the engineered precision and weight of its iconic facade. It was an extremely powerful ending when we finished it, but then, after the horrific tragedy of 911, took on an additional level of meaning -- and profound sadness, which left an even more profound, heightened, dramatic and unexpected effect on us and our audience (and subsequently, also heightened the meaning of our original intent). And then finally, unexpectedly, the video had served, and still serves, as a contemplative, thought-provoking memorial to the tragic events and losses of 911 -- after the fact, after the audience has finished viewing the work (as there is no indication or suggestion of The World Trade Center until the very end of the video, with its final image). And as such, and by an historically altered route, we now truly understood, and felt, the meaning and impact of Maya.
My Philosophy All life is sacred, and souls infinite.
What Gives Me Hope I see "11:11" nearly 75% of the time I happen to look up at a digital clock.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by arrange for My Care2 artists and intellectuals worldwide to become the true leaders of state and abolish it, followed by the people of every country laying down
and falling asleep together in one another's arms, dreaming about the exciting possibilities of peaceful coexistence
