Birthday Oct 28, 1965
About Me I am 43 years old and live in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I live in Rapid City and am currently enrolled in school at Oglala Lakota College, (OLC), majoring in Environmental Science/Conservation Biology. I have always held an important connection for the environment and a passion for photographing nature, both wildlife and landscapes. I believe that pictures can draw people to appreciate some things that they may not have the opportunity to experience otherwise. I have also taken up drawing and watercolors. Neither to any great extent yet, but I feel very enthusiastic while creating these types of art.

Wild Fact About Me I am determined to finish my degree, and am dedicating my life to put my education to use to better the world.
My Philosophy I believe that if people learned to respect the world around them that respect with other people would come natural. Respecting the environment encourages consideration and compassion, and discourages selfishness. We should practice conservation in everything we do and set an example for others to follow. Educate the children about respect, conservation and the environment.
What Gives Me Hope The teachings and values of the Lakota truly express these beliefs on education, respect, compassion, and consideration. All people should strive to follow these values remembering that what we have and how we change it, we pass on to future generations.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by Ecouurage these values to be taught in our education system. This would leave no child behind.
What/who changed my life and why Nature's Way: Native Wisdom for Living in Ballance With the Earth by Ed McGaa, Eagle Man
Quotation (Standing Bear L.) "But the old Lakota was wise. He knew that a man's heart, away from nature, becomes hard; he knew that lack of respect for growing, living things soon lead to a lack of respect for humans too."
