What I Want to Do: Make a difference

My Page Billboard
Originally from East Coast. Enjoy the out-of-doors, as long as a) I can sleep in my own bed at night OR b) there is a first class hotel at the end of my "adventures"! Proud of my heritage. Passions - a) My children/family. b) Am this generation's search for family history, ancestors, photos of same, lost relatives. c) Love to cook, bake, can/freeze, sew, music of (almost) all types, drawing and painting. d) Have a small garden this year (first in many years)! Adore animals My friends are very important in my life, as well d) Really enjoy intelligent "solution oriented" conversation on many topics e) Finding purpose and meaning in LIFE f) helping others as much as possible. g) Finding inner PEACE (no, really!) h) LOVE to learn (continuing education) . I am told am a good and loyal friend, problem solver, mediator, fair (but I can be - unintentionally - judgmental on occasion. Believe this "goes along" with my eventual professional goals - not an excuse, just a statement of opinion).

1/14/2009 - I wanted to add a small "addendum" of a different subject today.  Briefly, I am saddened by the departure of "Carolyn", the monitor on the Fibro, CF site here where I "exist" as do many hundreds of others. She was a true person of compassion and someone I considered my FRIEND as well.  I know she felt she had given her "all" to this site and group, and she is to be commended for this. I guess it is just a little bit "selfish" of me to wish she had been able to stay on.  Her advice and counsel was "dead on", plus we had quite a bit in common (including being very fond of "cavies")!  On another topic: I have put a personal photo of my family on this site, temporarily. I will be taking it down. If anyone on my friend's list that has not seen this photo as yet, please take advantage while you can!  We are freezing here, with both record negative temperatures and snowfall (over two feet on the ground at present)!  It is only January, and already I am thinking about SPRING!  Ireland Forever!

October 2011 Trying to update my profile page and photo today. Another very blustery, cool Fall day here.

Thanks Kitty for the "Hallow's Eve" greeting. I'll write more later. You do the same on the "messaging" side okay(?) I look forward to hearing back from you and continuing our earlier "conversation". Hope you are feeling a bit better today? I am doing relatively okay. Took a very warm shower this morning, then put on OTC pain patches. I HOPED they would work, but so far, not much difference. Need to get back to housework (taking frequent breaks), then study. More later. D.

Hi Kitty, Thanks for the "Sunday" message and clip art/photo. It's nice to see this, as have a couple things to start out my Monday a.m., EARLY, tomorrow. I'll write more to you later on. I DID respond to your "note" in my message box about leaving the "Sunday" message. Am just very sore tonight, so will have to "continue" this "chat", tomorrow. Take care of yourself now. D.

THANK YOU for the lovely SPRING message!  I am on my way out the door to an appointment, but will respond later today, or tonight.

Take care.  Is a lovely, sunny day today, so (of course), I feel somewhat better.  Just have to watch that I  do not "overdue".
