Quantum physics tells us that the basic fabric of the universe is energy, and everything is connected.  Our thoughts can no longer be considered as just things in our head - they are also vibrations and have the power to influence what happens in our bodies and the experiences we have in our lives.  Whenever we direct our energy toward fighting against something (be it war, terrorism, disease, poverty, drugs, etc), this serves only to perpetuate it, because the focus remains on the problem rather than the solution.  Instead, we need to give our attention solely to want we want to create - peace, health, abundance, and so on.

Dostoyevsky said "Much unhappiness has come into the world because of things left unsaid".  All of us  like to feel love, appreciation and approval. There are stories of how a person's words or a kind act were responsible for someone choosing life instead of death. The small gestures we make can have effects we could not imagine.  So, if you think or feel something positive about someone, tell them - it could make all the difference.

The advances that humanity has made from ancient civilizations until now have happened because someone had an idea and someone set about making it a reality.  In the context of human history, consider how short a period of time it was between the Wright Brothers and the jet age. The phenomenal rate of progress in the last 100 years was facilitated by the advent of means of mass communication.  Information and ideas can now be spread and adopted at a lightning pace.  So, anything is possible - we do not have to be chained to beliefs, attitudes, philosophies and practices of the past if we decide that they no longer serve us.  If enough people change their beliefs,  the world changes.

New life awakens
Budding flowers greet the sun
As spring comes dancing

Shimmering heat haze
Cicada sounds fill the air
Summer bakes the earth

Red and golden hues
Autumn leaves transform and fall
Carpeting the ground

Winter cold descends
Stillness of a frozen pond
Bare trees stark beauty

About Me I work as a therapist. My focus is on helping people move beyond their fears and emotional wounds from the past, and toward living the life that they really want to live. My ancestry is British, and I feel a connection to Celtic heritage (hence the background I have chosen for this page). I feel very fortunate to have been born and raised in Australia.

Wild Fact About Me I have done a tandem skydive.
My Philosophy Practise kindness; take responsibility for your own feelings and actions; step lightly on the earth; see the connection between all things on this planet, and that what affects one affects all; from each according to his ability, to each according to his need
What Gives Me Hope How adversity can bring out the best in people; I see more and more people are waking up that we need to take care of this planet, its inhabitants and resources; that we are breaking away from the negativity of the past
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by feeding those who are hungry, give access to good medical care for all and ask everyone to give 10% of their true income to charity
What/who changed my life and why Missing out on getting into the veterinary science course, and going into psychology instead (just as well - I wouldn't have made a good vet)
Quotation “We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit.”

"Be not the slave of your own past ... plunge into the sublime seas, dive deep, and swim far, so you shall come back with self-respect, with new power, with an advanced experience, that shall explain and overlook the old."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
