11 Pigs That Will Help You Quit Bacon

It’s no secret America has a love affair with bacon. From burgers to pizzas and even dessert, it seems bacon is always an optional add-on. However, perhaps because you’ve found out that bacon increases your chance of dying young by 44 percent and pollutes the air and waterways in a major way, or because you want to lose a few pounds, you have decided to ditch bacon.

Fantastic! To help your cause we could remind you of the horrid way in which bacon is made or tell you that pigs are extremely smart and loving animals, but, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. These 15 Instagram accounts feature piglets, potbelly pigs, micro pigs and pigs with dog best friends. It’s all too adorable and seeing these faces is the perfect antidote for a bacon addiction.

Who has ever witnessed a tape worm crawling out of a dogs ass? And you think it’s cool to keep pigs in the house as pets. Believe me, transmission does not have to be just by eating pork. Why are there Care2 articles warning not to let your cat sleep in your bed. The Medical case of the young woman was on TV today.

so do you seriously think suggesting people follow a breeders organization is the best way to help them make the connection between production pigs and pet pigs? Not to mention, that particular organization has a BOARD member who posts dead pigs on her own FB page. Why don't y'all list credible sources when you are suggesting organizations to follow and learn from?????

As I was driving home on the interstate yesterday I saw a semi that was partially full of smaller pigs and I started crying. The semi was driving 70 mph and I know the pigs were cold as it was a chilly day. I'm sure they were scared and hungry and thirsty too. I cried for a good while after passing the semi.
