5 Ways Pigs Are Just as Cute as Your Cat or Dog

Most people would never dream of eating a cat or dog because they say that they are just too cute, but guess what..?

Pigs can be super cute too!

Unfortunately the majority of us never get to see how cute pigs really are because they spend their lives behind closed doors confined to unnatural environments that stop them from being able to do all the things they love the most.

To help you see just how sweet, loving, intelligent and of course cute pigs can be, check out the following five ways they rival the animals we share our homes with:

1. Pigs love cuddling

It doesn’t matter who, be it human, dog, cat, or one of their porcine companions, give a pig someone to cuddle up to and they’ll make themselves comfy in no time. Esther the Wonder Pig is the perfect example — she loves cuddling up with both her dads and her doggy friends, especially when there is a blanket involved.

2. Pigs can’t get enough of belly rubs

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of giving a piggy a belly rub then you’ll know just how much they enjoy it. Hit the right spot and they’ll flop over on their side, they’ll also make little grumbles of delight and may even fall asleep in the process. Belly rubs are a great way to bond with a pig and if you’re generous then you’ll have a friend for life.

3. Pigs like mud baths

Everyone loves to get a little mucky from time to time, and so do pigs. Except when pigs roll around in the mud they do it for good reason (because they use the mud as sunscreen) and they actually look cute doing it. Dogs on the other hand…not so much. Despite the misconception that pigs are dirty animals, they are in fact some of the cleanest animals you will ever meet, minus the mad bathing, but heck, some of us actually pay good money to lie in a bath filled with mud, so who are we to talk?

4. Pigs have a soft spot for music

Believe it or not, pigs like listening to music. Heavy metal might not be quite their thing but calm, mellow and upbeat tunes can actually be extremely soothing and relaxing for pigs especially when they are nervous or in shock. Pigs particularly like roaming around to the sound of music which has been recorded to have positive effects on their wellbeing, helping them feel calm and content.

5. Pigs wag their tails

You’ll know when a pig is truly happy by watching for their little tails to start waggling, that or the pig is extremely agitated and looking for a fight, but hopefully you’ll be able to tell if it’s the latter! Pigs wag their tails the most when they are enjoying a good rooting session, just after rolling in the mud, or in any situation which may involve food.

What’s the cutest thing you have ever seen a pig do?

Spay and neuter all the livestock to bring their numbers down, and ban all meats. Make the slaughter of animals and the sale of meat a felony. Eggs and dairy are approved only if the chickens and cows spend their lives in pasture and that will provide more than enough animal protein. Problem solved. Sorry but will not have bacon, beef, leather, KFC, veal, lamb, etc. Too bad, you'll survive it.

Beauty must be in the eye of the beholder.

That's why I don't eat any living beeing. I think it is time to realize that evry meat industry is just cruel. Not only dogs and cats have feelings, pigs, cows, sheeps etc. too! If people would just open their eyes a little bit more and would have to kill those living and feeling creatures themselves, rather than just having them on their plates in the evening, maybe some would realize that they are as lovely and individual as dogs and cats. I don't judge people who eat meat. I just judge the ones that become indifferent to the knowledge that their are lifes that have to be mostly cruelly ended because of them. There are ways to support a farmer rather than the big mass industry. There is a way to eat less meat than 7times a week. I am so often judged because I am vegetarian, but I wonder why everyone starts to justify themselves in front of me and tries to make me the antisocial person. I am not the one who starts to speak about those themes. Maybe human beings just want to stay in their small comfortable world and someone disturbs them with just being present like me. Every cruelty needs to be stopped! If an animal has to die for your breakfast or lunch, I just would like to remind you that it makes the environment happier if you look on the etiquette where this animal comes from. Maybe 5 $ more and it would have had a good life on a farm before and not being caged and brutal murdered infront of his companions. Maybe it looked like one of those cute ones above. Don't they
