America’s #1 Polluter Pushes Outrageous Dirty Air Bill

American Electric Power (AEP) is America’s #1 polluter. They burn more coal than any other utility and rank as the biggest emitter of most major air pollution categories.

But, instead of working to clean up its act, AEP is spending millions of dollars to lobby to keep the air you’re breathing right now more polluted and more deadly.

AEP has drafted and is circulating an outrageous 56-page draft bill that would halt implementation of America’s clean air laws for the single largest source of air pollution: the oldest, dirtiest coal-fired power plants.

If this bill were to become law, it would cause up to 34,000 premature deaths from air pollution in the first 2 years alone. That’s one death every 30 minutes! All to protect AEP’s $1.2 billion in annual profits.

That’s why we have launched our “What’s Your Number” campaign to ask AEP one simple question: How many lives are your polluter profits worth? Are 34,000 premature and preventable deaths okay with you? How about your customers — is this okay with them?

You can help hold AEP accountable. First, take action — send AEP an email them you won’t stand for their corporate polluter assault on your right to breathe air that won’t kill you.

Then, if you’re on Twitter, please help us hold AEP accountable over your social network. Just go to to find AEP accountability tweets you can post with just a couple of clicks. You can also copy and pasted those Tweets to your Facebook page.

Make no mistake, we are under attack. The health of our children, grandchildren, and planet are at stake.

But, with your help, we will hold AEP accountable and stop their outrageous assault on your right to clean air.

Attention to, in the form of, is in fact the solution to any problem. Each and every one of us has in truth been given an opportunity to serve and fulfill any, and all purposeful endeavors to maintain our continued existence.

In such is our combined influence towards the very source which allows for our experience, also open to the possibility of our conformity with the very energy that created the Heaven which we all sometimes refuse to see.

Promoting renewable resources with the resource itself, involves all to realize just how connected we are to each other, and Earth itself, including all of its Life forms.

Power is the very resource that is an abundant resource, if used resourcefully, gathered and used in any way shape or form, that resembles the very nature of Life itself. To promote the future with all Life in mind, heart and of course, Soul.

Burning coal at all is robbing future generations of their birthright because it is too valuable a feedstock for manufacturing many materials and medicines essential to our civilisation. The pollution caused by burning it is because of the huge number of valuable chemicals contained in it, and being wasted by merely burning it.

We need to stop burning coal to save the planet.

I think there is more to this story than the blog indicates, especially since they were given 1 year to implement the changes.
