Candidates, Super PACs Hit Airwaves In South Carolina and Florida [VIDEO]

Obviously, it must be someone’s last stand.

Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are continuing to go for the throat in the final two primaries of January, and their super PACs are ready and eager to help them.

Restore Our Future, the pro-Romney PAC, has announced nearly $6 million in ad buys in South Carolina and Florida, in the hopes of ending the endorsement process before February even starts.

But Gingrich-backed super PAC Winning Our Future is returning the volleys.  It’s continuing it’s mini-documentary on “corporate raider Mitt Romney” and his past with Bain Capital, although Gingrich has requested that they lay off discussing all of the homes Romney owns.

As for the campaigns themselves, Gingrich is continuing to put pressure on one of Romney’s alleged weak spots — his sketchy history on abortion.   Romney, meanwhile, is trying to raise his own status in Florida with an ad done entirely in Spanish.

Per WKI: a political action committee, or PAC, is the name commonly given to a private group, regardless of size, organized to elect political candidates or to advance the outcome of a political issue or legislation.[1] Legally, what constitutes a "PAC" for purposes of regulation is a matter of state and federal law. Under the Federal Election Campaign Act, an organization becomes a "political committee" by receiving contributions or making expenditures in excess of $1,000 for the purpose of influencing a federal election.[2]

The difference between a Pac and a spec pac is that Pacs must divulge who is in the PAC donating. The super pac does not. Again from wiki: The 2010 election marked the rise of a new political committee, dubbed "super PACs," and officially known as "independent-expenditure only committees," which can raise unlimited sums from corporations, unions and other groups, as well as individuals.

What is a 'PAC'? I'm not from the US, like many people who read this site, so I need it spelled out.

Hopefully they will continue slugging this out for a good while to come yet, wasting more and more of their millions and bringing up even more of their glaring faults for the whole world to see.

Someone on NPR today talked about how Romney put his dog in a kennel, on top of the family car, as they went away on an extended car trip. The dog evidently had a liquid bowel movement, most likely due to fear, and the wet shit ran down the back window, to which Romney's son let out a verbal gross response.

Romney, evidently, very uncaringly stopped at a gas station, hosed down the dog and the car, and continued on with his trip. He has no compassion and only knows MONEY as his GOD!

I need not bother with the idea of liking or dis-liking Mitt Romney, as all I need do is read his proposed policies on his campaign web site, evaluating the actual substance, setting aside the rhetoric to know that this is not a man I want at the helm of our constitutionally based democratic republic.

re. Romney,s interview with Matt Lauwr this am.
I am a senior citizen. barely staying above the poverty level.I am one of the 99% and I am NOT jealous of the 1%.(Mr Romney posits that the 99% ENVY the 1% their success!)
Mr Romney,s success is due to a HUGE inheritance from his father. He ,Romney never worked a day in his life but is responsible for the loss of thousands of jobs.and his Co.Bain financial taking government money,NO Mr Romney I do NOT envy you, you are totally amoral with No concern for others.and frankly without your inheritance would probably be living in a cardboard box, under a bridge somewhere. No it is not envy but the total lack of fairness that motivates the 99%.The wealthy continue to increase their standard of living and wealth whilst the middle and working class,s have experienced a flat line in growth over the past 10 years(atleast) Your tax plan,if God forbid you get elected would decrease taxes for the rich and increase them for the rest of us,*confirmed by the non partisan Gov. accountability office.I would much prefer that you stay in your $12,million beach house ,with your family and stay there.NO Mr. Romney. WE are NOT envious of you at all. Just disgusted by your atitude.

According to Bruce McConkie, a general authority of the LDS Church, "Mormonism is indistinguishable from Christianity. "In many ways, however, the religion differs from orthodoxy as held by Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant Christianity. To those for whom Christianity is defined by that orthodoxy, Mormonism's differences place it outside the umbrella of Christianity altogether."

Mormons believe in Jesus Christ as the literal firstborn Son of God and Messiah, his crucifixion as a conclusion of a sin offering, and subsequent resurrection. However, Latter-day Saints (LDS) reject the ecumenical creeds and definition of the Trinity taught by the Roman Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Anglican Communion, and Trinitarian Protestantism, and hold that the New Testament prophesied both the apostasy from the teachings of Christ and his apostles as well as the restoration of all things prior to the second coming of Christ.
