Christine Blasey Ford to Donate Remaining GoFundMe Money to Trauma Survivors

Two months after testifying in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Christine Blasey Ford has made a rare statement on the GoFundMe page dedicated to supporting her.

Her neighbors and colleagues created the page was in September to help Ford and her family pay the unforeseen expenses of speaking up and telling her story.

Since coming forward with her sexual assault allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, Ford’s life has been upturned, or as she put it, “disrupted.” She’s received death threats, and she and her family have had to move four times and hire security. All of these moves and security has obviously been expensive, and the donations have helped ease that burden—and then some. The page raised almost $650,000 from nearly 14,000 donors.

In her message, Ford called the donations a “godsend,” and with “immense gratitude” has closed the fund to further donations. She also announced that she will donate all remaining funds, after she’s finished paying for the costs of security, to organizations that support trauma survivors. She’s currently researching such organizations. Christine Blasey Ford is, still, the hero we do not deserve.

“Although coming forward was terrifying, and caused disruption to our lives, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to fulfill my civic duty,” wrote Ford.

While Ford is still receiving death threats and requires a personal security detail, the dishonorable Brett Kavanaugh is back to coaching his daughter’s basketball team.

During his revolting testimony, Kavanaugh lamented that the allegations against him were ruining his life, because he might no longer be able to do the one thing he loves more than drinking beer and sputtering with uncontrolled rage: coaching basketball.

“I love coaching more than anything I’ve ever done in my whole life,” said Kavanaugh during the hearings. “But thanks to what some of you on this side of the committee have unleashed, I may never be able to coach again.”

But no! Kavanaugh gets to have his beer and drink it too. Not only does he now have one of the most important jobs in the country, he gets to go back to being “Coach K”.

Again, Ford, who came forward with sexual assault allegations, is still receiving death threats. Kavanaugh’s life, meanwhile, has not just returned to normal but has significantly improved.

Can this be the end of the “she’s just doing it for the fame” and “his life will be ruined” conversation please?

btw, women, there are sociopaths in this world. Be aware. And know that sometimes they visit Care2, just for fiendish fun. Can you imagine being alone with one of these types??? Their very minds are infested with criminal ideas, and you can believe that if they can get away with something harmful to someone else, they will. Best to move on, and not give time to such caliber of person. We can see this kind of sickness in every corner of the earth.

I believe in an unseen justice which will ultimately come to Kavanaugh. Christine is a woman of tremendous courage, of which I do hope our feminine gender will follow as a role model of right action. {vengeance is mine saith the lord, and this will happen, maybe not to our visible eyes, but, I do believe it will} I am so very proud of her!
