Daily Cute: These Chickens Spread Their Wings for the First Time

These chickens came from an egg farm, where they were going to be gassed and thrown into a landfill. Animal Place managed to rescue 3,000 of them and bring them to a place where they can live out the rest of their days stretching their wings and walking on the ground. This video shows the first time they’ve ever done either of those things.

Check back daily for more adorable animal videos.

I'm glad $18/day isn't a big deal for some, but it would be for others, including myself. That's most of my pension! Anyway, these hens look SO DIFFERENT from my backyard flock, and while it could be "breed", most likely it's because mine "Martha and the Vandellas" have always had free 24/7 access to a big yard and can come and go as they please, and they provide me with enough eggs that anymore would be to the point I'd have to go out and buy cartons.........as it is, I can only eat so many, even with 3 in my household, so I donate about 2 - 3 dozen a week to the food bank and they give me cartons to use.

Oh, how I absolutely love this video! I had 6 baney hens & 1 rooster. I raised them from little things. It was such a joy to watch them grow & be free! How wonderful for these hens. God bless them & the people who rescued them
