Florida Congressman Tries To Reignite Birther Claims

It’s almost like we’re just doing 2010′s elections all over again.† First we have the vast majority of Republican voters who believe that President Barack Obama is actually a Muslim.† Now, we have a Congressman trying to stir up the “Obama isn’t really American” birther debate again.

Florida Republican Cliff Stearns is arguing that despite the president repeatedly addressing the claims that he wasn’t born in the United States, the controversy hasn’t been settled.† Sure, the Commander In Chief has shown a birth certificate.† But…what if it wasn’t real?

“All I can tell you is that the general consensus is that he has produced a birth certificate. The question is, is it legitimate? Thatís where we stand now. Iíve seen a copy of it on television. But you know the Governor of Hawaii couldnít get what he felt was an original of the birth certificate. He tried to do it and gave up on it. So I think what Obamaís showing is a facsimile, but I think that debate probably is not enough, shall we say, just to impeach him. Weíre going to have an election in five or six months so we can change the course of history by electing someone other than Obama. Thatís what elections are all about. If we started impeachment this time of year, very difficult in terms of time and strength.”

The White House is unimpressed by either Stearns’ logic or his political pandering.† “One of the GOP members leading the Solyndra investigation is a birther, which raises all sorts of questions,” tweeted White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer.

@Bill R.

"here is a link to Obama's attorney saying the B.C. is a fake and trying to bail herself out of the blame game."

Bill R., I feel so sorry for you. You can't understand that something "in print", in this case on a Tea Party website, can be an outright lie.

I suppose you believe every word Rush Limbaugh says too.

There are hundreds of Conspiracy websites, created by loose nuts that believe every conspiracy and dumb idea you've ever laughed about; Earth colonized by aliens, humans living at the same time as dinosaurs...

But in this case, you have found one you like and fallen for it.

The Daily Pen just made the whole thing up.

Here's a hint. You can tell if something is true when ALL the media outlets cover it, and there are tons of pictures.

For example, Nixon WAS a crook, and he DID knowingly break the law and then try to cover it up.

If only ONE website mentioned WaterGate today, you'd scratch your head and say "that's nuts, why would a President do that?".

Because after all, it costs nothing to make up a hoax.

Keep your cool gang, let the legal system work its way though. If one person should ever get through the system and they are not elgible to be president, then what happens to our Constitutional government.

It will be best for all Americans if the system works the way it is designed to work.

The Republicans are so desperate they will do anything to muddy the waters so they don't have to answer hard questions about the future of the US.
You know the old saying: BSBB! The GOP's mascot should not be the Elephant it should be a Bull.

Cool it gang as I think the House will take up the Birth Certificate issue soon. It would appear that this illegal amnesty program was the last straw and may have broken the log jam on hearings within the US House of Representatives.

As to impeachment, there was no one to willing to bring impeachment with a filibuster proof house and Senate for the first two years, and the next two the Senate would not have allow the impeachment to go through as we have become a divided Nation, no longer a Constitutional Nation especially under our dictator Obama.

In any case we need to allow this to play its self out until America really knows who we elected to our presidency in 2008.

Living in HI & knowing people who knew & went to Punahou with Obama, I find the birther argument so ridiculous as to make me realize that some people believe the "He's not an American" lies" as an excuse for their prejudice. Unfortunately, the internet gives those who don't know how to do real research or who love to "spin" and take information out of context a venue to spread their venom to the unsuspecting reader who believes it "because it's in print."

Oh darn, I forgot that some libs just do not know how to use the search engines, so here is a link to Obama's attorney saying the B.C. is a fake and trying to bail herself out of the blame game.

Taking an audacious and shocking angle against the constitutional eligibility mandate, Obama’s lawyer, Alexandra Hill, admitted that the image of Obama’s birth certificate was a forgery and made the absurd claim that, therefore, it cannot be used as evidence to confirm his lack of natural born citizenship status. Therefore, she argued, it is “irrelevant to his placement on the ballot”.

Hill went on to contort reasoning by implying that Obama needs only invoke his political popularity, not legal qualifications, in order to be a candidate.

Obama's own Attorney has come out and stated that the long form B.C. is a fake. So we should not believe Obama or his attorney?

The question is why? Why produce a fake B.C. when we all have a real one. I think o rwas he hatched? :-)

Evidently the "birthers" believe that if they say the lie often enough, it will be believed and no one will research it. Also it appears there are those who fit that description.

For the facts see:

Snpes has numerous articles that debunk the allegations made by the "birthers."

To me it looks like the republicans are the mice and the gop are the pied pipers. And the bad part is a lot of americans can no longer think for themselves they blindly follow the church and the republican officials and believe fox is news god.
