Here’s a Leaked Secret List of Trump Scandals That Republic Lawmakers Have Passed Around

A spreadsheet list of Trump’s various scandals that could (and probably should) warrant investigation has quietly been passed amongst the GOP’s congressional leadership – and now Axios has got its hands on it.

While the existence of the list is secret, most of the items on the list probably won’t surprise you. They’ve all come to light in the media, there’s just been no substantial accountability for any of these issues since the Republicans in power have declined to act. Mind you, Democrats have called for congressional inquiries into most of the items, but the GOP continues to brush them off.

That’s why the list was created, apparently. Afraid they’ll lose control of the House this November, Republicans are worried that any number of investigations could kick off, including, but certainly not limited to:

1. THE TRUMP FAMILY ENTERPRISES

Trump is required by law to divest from his businesses before taking office – as were his family members who joined up in the White House – yet documents repeatedly show that the Trump clan failed to do that in a meaningful manner. All of these holdings pose major conflict of interests, and frankly, it’s embarrassing that Congress hasn’t pursued the emoluments clause to this point.

2. CAMPAIGN PAYMENTS FOR ALLEGED AFFAIRS

With Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen now admitting that he made the payments to Stormy Daniels at the instruction of an unnamed individual who went on to be elected president (hmm, wonder who that could be?) Trump should be in trouble for willfully violating major campaign rules.

3. ELECTION SECURITY

Despite the intelligence community unanimously concluding that Russia has and will continue to try to hack into the American election system, the White House has decided to just about nothing to prevent future attacks. Of course that lack of response warrants a look into why.

4. THE FIRING OF JAMES COMEY

At points, Trump himself has admitted he sacked Comey because he refused to be loyal and he wanted to end the investigation of his ties to Russia. How is that not obstruction of justice?

5. MISUSE OF PERSONAL EMAIL ACCOUNTS FOR GOVERNMENT BUSINESS

This might not be the most damning item on the list, but it should be one of the most embarrassing given the hypocrisy. The Trump campaign attacked Hillary Clinton mercilessly for her use of a private email server, then at least 8 key members of the Trump admin have done the same since taking office.

6. MIGRANT FAMILY SEPARATION

Even Republican officials outside of the White House had trouble getting behind this scheme, and with good reason: it’s unconscionable. It’s time Trump officials had to answer more concretely for perpetrating emotional torture.

7. TRUMP’S MISSING TAX RETURNS

For someone who swears he has no improper financial ties with foreign powers, his tax records could help clear a lot of that up. Nevertheless, Trump continues to buck decades of tradition by refusing to release his forms.

8. UNRULY, INAPPROPRIATE SPENDING BY CABINET OFFICIALS

It’s not like it’s been one bad apple in the White House – several members of Trump’s cabinet have used their positions to bankroll personal travel and other unnecessary expenses. Care2’s Joel rattles off some of the most glaring examples here.

9. THE TRAVEL BAN

The courts might have ultimately approved the administration’s third attempt at preventing people from predominately Muslim countries from entering the country, but Trump’s own discussion of the restrictions make it clear that it comes from a point of prejudice, not logic.

10. JARED KUSHNER’S LACK OF ETHICS

Trump’s advisor/son-in-law could face a bunch of problems of his own – he had to amend his disclosure forms literally dozens of times after being exposed – what is he so desperately trying to hide? And what’s going on that makes getting a security clearance so difficult?

11. DUMPING EPA SCIENTISTS

The Trump admin unceremoniously dumped a lot of its scientific advisors, for seemingly no good reason aside from the fact that their facts didn’t match up with the White House’s agenda.

12. RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA

Do I even need to explain…?

Are the Republicans right? Will the Democrats investigate these issues if they claim enough seats? They certainly ought to – in fact, the Republicans ought to have felt the responsibility to probe deeper into this laundry list of potential crimes and misdeeds rather than continuing to dredge up Benghazi.

“Lawyers close to the White House tell me the Trump administration is nowhere near prepared for the investigatory onslaught that awaits them, and they consider it among the greatest threats to his presidency,” writes reporter Jonathan Swan. They also expect multiple investigations could slow the White House’s agenda to a halt. Given how terrible the agenda has been so far, that doesn’t exactly seem like a problem, though.

This past week I sent several more emails to my misrepresentatives, demanding that they serve their constituents. I'm still waiting for their responses asking what they're doing about all of these offenses. We must remind them that they work for US and we will NOT be ignored and will keep emailing, calling and petitioning them.

David F, now you are just being silly! Perhaps you could enlighten us with the 'truth' of these talking points, instead of just bleating' fake news' at every fact you don't want to accept.

The tRump regime is a rolling dumpster fire of not just corruption but also sheer incompetence. Squirrelwig Stalin has made the USA a laughingstock and a rogue nation. This is why we need to a) fight tooth and nail to make sure NO tRump appointees get on SCOTUS, at least until after the midterm elections; and b) support genuinely progressive candidates and do all we can to effect a Blue Tsunami this November. The midterms could be our last chance to save this country and turn it around - at least by legal, nonviolent means.

Trump was absolutely right when he stated that he could shoot somebody and not lose support of his followers. I guess the majority of his followers suffer from Trumps "I'll pee in your face and tell you it's rain and you believe it" syndrome. Aren't I great! Disturbing.
