More Hillary 2016 Talk — This Time From Bill

Obviously, I’ve proven repeatedly that there’s nothing I love more than a good “Hillary 2016″ rumor.  New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand got the buzz started again, but she’s only the first to sound the call now.

The latest is coming from one of the best sources out there — former President Bill Clinton. If the Secretary of State should choose to run, it appears she has one ardent supporter already.   “It’s entirely up to her,” Clinton told “Good Morning America” of ABC News. “I believe that she’s being absolutely honest with you when she says she doesn’t think she’ll go back into politics. But if she comes home and we do this foundation stuff for the rest of our lives, I’ll be happy; if she changes her mind and decides to run, I’ll be happy.”

But Mr. Hillary Clinton isn’t the only one who would be “happy” with a 2016 run.  House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is eager to see it happen.  “I would love to see Secretary Clinton become the nominee for President in 2016…I do think the Secretary should entertain the thought of running in 2016…Hasn’t she been a magnificent Secretary of State?”

Probably less eager to see her run?  Current Vice President Joe Biden.  Although he said he’d “make up his mind later,” it’s pretty clear that 2016 is already on his mind.

Only recently have I begun to think that the USA may be almost ready to have a female president. It would be cool.

Frances C,

It isn't only the Right that bashes Hillary. They started it and lots of people on the Left picked up where the Right began. It's sexist and wrong no matter who does it. (See the National Organization for Women's Media Wall of Shame here: Bill Maher, Chris Matthews, etc.)

I see the Hillary bashing is still lingering out there among a few of the nuttiest tea party R's. Get a life!

Hillary should go to Massachusetts and campaign and lobby to get prostitution legalized in Massachusetts.

Look at all these sheeple cheering for Hitlery Clinton simply because she's a woman. While I'd love to see a woman in the Oval Office just as much as anyone else, Hitlery is NOT the right choice! Her corruption runs deep and goes back decades. Google is your friend. Run some searches and learn about her ties with Monsanto and other shady interests.

I think we need to understand that only candidates that represent the interests of the military industrial complex and the financial overlords will be allowed to even sniff the presidency.

In retrospect Hillary might have been marginally better than Obama. But both of them will do as they are told, and not by us.

Of course the Republicans are worse. Republican voters, worse still. All you have to do is read their posts on Care2. They suffer from Fox induced ignorance.

Mdm. Secretary you did real well as a Sec of State. There are so many improvements in the world at the moment. The one that really stands out is Myanmar / Burma. And many hostages who were captured in troubled lands were freed as well. I hope the next four years you will be the next VEEP and then in 2015 you run for President. I know you are very tired but the world really needs a role model like you. Hang in there Mdm. :)

Maybe too soon for Warren but she'd be my first choice. She is younger, just a smart as Hillary, and for all the people 100% of the time. I truly do not think she can be bought.

Too soon for Warren, but that's what I said about Obama. She'll have to crush Brown by 15 to be a legit candidate for the national ticket in '16. I see Warren running from the Senate in '24 and possibly winning in '28. Hillary is by far the best bet for `16.

Steve R said: "I can only SHUDDER every time I think about it."

Is that because she has bigger balls than you Steve? Bet she could beat you up! :-)
