So All May Eat – Organic Pay As You Go Dining

Sometimes what your body is hungry for can’t be found in a box of processed food. So what if you combined running a restaurant using local organic foods and asked your patrons to pay what they can?

You would have a place called the SAME Cafe.

The So All May Eat Cafe in Denver, Colorado has been open for four years. The restaurant runs on a donation basis with volunteers staffing the kitchen; those patrons who cannot pay can volunteer an hour of service.

Brad and Libby Birky do meet most of their expenses but talk about tight margins. The cafe does accept donations and there is a on-going wish list on their web site.

This is the kind of thing where you do have to have community support and a commitment to positive action. The good news is that it can be done.

This is such a good idea, especially if they lived in Florida. We get arrested if we feed the homeless in Orlando Florida. You are great People to feed those who are hungry~
