Soil Born Farms – Living In Harmony With Nature – (VIDEO)

Soil Born Farms, an “Urban Agriculture Project,” near Sacramento, California, is a wonderful place where children and adults participate in a system of food production and distribution that promotes healthy living, nurtures the environment and brings people together to share the simple pleasures of living life in harmony with nature.

People See Their Healthy Food And Where It Comes From!

Here’s how Soil Born describes what they are doing: “We are committed to developing programming focused on organic food production, healthy food education and food access for all residents. Our mission is to empower youth and adults to discover and participate in a local food system that encourages healthy living, nurtures the environment and grows a sustainable community.”

Soil Born Farms’ Goals:

*  Create, manage and support urban organic farms and gardens that are accessible to the public, permanently protected for future generations, and that practice and promote responsible land stewardship.

*  Develop a food and environmental education program focused on service and experiential learning in the natural world and in the kitchen for youth and adults. Activities include classes, hands-on workshops, tours, job training and youth leadership development.

*  Address food security needs by developing alternative food distribution and food donation programs that target our under-served communities.

*  Bring people together to celebrate cultural diversity and share the simple pleasures of living life in harmony with nature.

Pretty exciting, and you can see how all this works by watching this video:

Soil Born Farms has cattle and sheep grazing along the American River Parkway where they should be growing vegetables for families in need. Vegans need to organize to take over Soil Born Farm's management to get these animals spayed and neutered at once to stop them from breeding since raising meat is is not "green" but the number one destructive thing to the environment.

Fantastic! We need more of these organic farms and less genetically modified foods!
