Warren Preempts Rove Attack Ads With Her Own Commercial

The conservative superPAC Crossroads GPS, run by the Bush administration’s Karl Rove, has already announced a half million dollar ad buy intent on painting Massachusetts senate candidate Elizabeth Warren as a member of the “extreme left-wing.”

But Warren isn’t about to let the conservatives define her.  Her campaign is releasing its own ad, that will help the voters get to know the Warren Rove doesn’t want them to see.

Watch the new ad below.

This is a smart woman who doesn't let others define her. She has principles, and she stands by them. She marches to her own drum, and she is true to herself. When it is all over, she will know she was ethical, and her campaign will not cause her any shame. I wish I could have such an outstanding person represent my state.

Elizabeth Warren is a hero, who stands up to the dirty republican crooks and liars in Wahington. I wish we had more people like her, including great progressives like Alan Grayson, Bernie Sanders, and Dennis Kucinich. It's a shame that Washington has been taken over by these dirty criminal scumbag republican liars, like Eric Cantor, John boehner, and the rest of the corporate puppets and liars in the republican party.

Great move by the GOP, refusing to allow Obama to confirm Warren as director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (which she created)...they may have won a short-term victory, but it left her free to pursue a Senate seat, and I'm rooting for her all the way!

Is it too early for Feingold-Warren 2016 bumper stickers? Or, heck, as long as we're dreaming, how about Warren-Grayson 2016 stickers?

Thanks Sharon H. She is right, and we're not reminded of this nearly enough.

When we learned about what capitalism is in the economic textbooks, we learned about the marketplace being key. That in real capitalism success is not guaranteed. You fight for profits when you compete for customers.

The reason WHY capitalism is theoretically a fair system is because of the marketplace. No fair marketplace, no real capitalism. That means no one, or small group, of corporations being able to control a market, to set prices, and guarantee themselves a profit margin.

When the Health Insurance industry gets an EXEMPTION from the anti-trust act, when Private banks run the Fed and own congress so they get bailed out when the screw up, and leave so many of the 99% as collateral damage, that's NOT capitalism. That's socialism for rich corporations.

I see at least one regular visitor to the site who obviously does not understand this. A little more scholarship and less right-wing radio and TV is required if the goal is to understand our economy. Of course, if the goal is to hit blogs with copy and pasting of talking points, well, that's all too easy but not very helpful.

Not everyone has the courage she has to fight the tough fights. However, having representatives with her integrity was not so rare before Washington became awash in campaign contributions. Money has corrupted the system and it's amazing that she's not been corrupted.

She's already doing so much for us, yet I have to ask her for one more thing. If she wins the election, can she help us get the money out of politics that has corrupted most of our other so-called representatives?

With more people like her in congress, our interests would actually be represented! I do believe that's what our country's founders intended.

Well, if it were true, it would make a welcome change from the incessantly routine extreme right wing rhetoric to which many Americans are exposed to on a daily basis.

Warren is a national treasure. Scott Brown should not even waste money campaigning against her. She is obviously viewed as a threat if Rove is being brought in to defame her.

Elizabeth Warren is our godsend! We need more like her in congress. Someone who isn't intimidated by so-called powerful men. Someone who cannot be bought! Someone who says what she means, and means what she says. A truly rare combination these days.
