Meet Sheila Golden
My art career spans over 30 years of painting and illustration. My work has been published as posters, prints, greeting cards, t-shirts, gift products and more.
Earlier in my career, I studied painting with abstract expressionist Morris Davidson in Massachusetts and graphic design at the School of Visual Arts in New York. I later studied illustration at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Strong influences in my paintings are the work of Matisse and Kandinsky.
My website contains bright and colorful and somewhat whimsical images that may inspire the visitor to think more about the environment and to do their share to protect it in some way. My hope is that visiting my website will bring a bit of fun into their life as well.
At present, I have a studio at Lake Tahoe and work as a greeting card designer and illustrator for a large company, working in a variety of media. I also exhibit my watercolors in shows in the San Francisco Bay area.
My watercolor and watercolor collage paintings are constantly evolving.
