21 Adorable Animals Who Love Pumpkins

It wouldn’t be a proper autumn without pumpkins. Some of us prefer to partake of them in every conceivable food form (roasted, pies, smoothies, coffee, sauces…), while others may love using them as seasonal decor. And as it turns out, we’re not the only animals that get a kick out of pumpkins!

Whether they think of the orange squashes as tasty treats or entertaining toys, these animals can’t get enough of pumpkins. Which is your favorite pumpkin-loving animal?

Too adorable!! BTW, pumpkin is not only a good healthly food additive for household pets, but for people too! Lots of vitamins & antioxidants!! Be sure to recycle your Halloween pumpkins. If whole u can start by cutting them in half, scooping out the seeds & baking them in the oven. Scoop out the flesh & mash it with brown sugar, cinnamon & butter & YUM! Or compost it if already carved & getting decayed. Or, U can slice it up & leave it, including the seeds, for the birds or natures critters to feast on. Some zoos collect donated pumpkins as treats for the animals. I had 4 left over last year that were whole for which I called a local soup kitchen. They readily accepted them to use to feed the homeless. They told me they converted them to breads, pies & side dishes. That really made me feel good!

I see on TV that they give a lot of pumpkins to the animals in the zoo's so I had to assume they loved them, but from experience, one of my cats was constipated and the vet recommended pumpkin. I was shocked at how much the cats loved the plain canned pumpkin, and within an hour, the pumpkin cleaned out the plumbing.
