3 Delicious Nut Butter Smoothie Recipes

Smoothies are the perfect nutritious breakfast for people on the go and the perfect snack for fighting sugary, processed cravings during the day. This is all especially true when you can sneak some vegetables into your daily drink. Yet, one delicious and healthy addition to smoothies that is often overlooked is the ubiquitous nut butter.

Peanut butter, almond butter, hazelnut butter, cashew butter, macadamia nut butter… each offer their own luscious, creamy textures and tastes to different dishes and desserts, but they often get left out of the smoothie game. Until now. Since adding some healthy fats to our meals is known to leave us feeling satisfied longer it’s a wonder why more smoothie enthusiasts aren’t including them in their breakfast beverages.

If you haven’t tried adding some healthy (no hydrogenated oil, no sugar added) nut butters to your morning smoothies, today is the day to start. Here are a few recipes to try to get your taste buds going, yet feel free to experiment with different nut butters and to recreate some of your favorite treats in smoothie form.

Other than peanut butter, these are pretty dear here. A pack of ground almonds however is reasonably priced. Nut butters may also have palm oil in them so read the label carefully.
