Hi All - I note they're not eating the skin - A couple of hundred years ago early Australian settlers used to scatter cucumber skins on earthen floors as an insecticide - Apparently the skins release cyanide gas in small amounts, enough to down invading insects like flees, cockroaches and possibly small snails - It is also the reason why some folk tell you to peel cucumbers or run a fork down them before slicing (to release the gas) which prevents you getting a tummy ache from consuming too much of the skin -
Thanks for the video, although I didn't personally find it mesmerising, it did trigger the related memory and gave me a smile - smiles
