One day i think I will do such a thing when the situation presents. Sounds cool to me.
Perhaps if you look at it as a ' pay it forward' gift then things will be perceived differently than just giving it away. It has some purpose behind it. However to pay a layby for someone at random is a wonderful gesture to do to surprise another. You would do it on the spur of the moment after a while of thinking about it? or would you just do it without thinking?

I love doing random acts of kindness bc I get the buzz like they do.

Something like this happened to my cousin over the holidays. Her dog had an infection and had to go to the vet, but when it came time to settle the bill she didn't have enough to cover the antibiotics right away. The woman waiting to pay behind her stepped up and told the receptionist to put the antibiotics on her bill instead. It was such a lovely thing to do! My cousin was so grateful she immediately resolved to do a similar good deed as soon as she was able. It's nice when these kinds of things have a ripple effect :)

That's probably one of the most sweetest ideas ever. Coming from a poor family, we've put many things on layaway and had to sacrifice those things because we couldn't afford them. Thank you anonymous friend.

True, Juliet D., but we need Marys as well as Marthas. There's more to life than paying bills. This "angel" frees up her recipients' money to pay those utility bills while making their children happy. I think it's beautiful.

This is so heartwarming, but I agree that paying people's utility bills is great.
