Proof That Cats Talk (Video)

Okay, so maybe this isn’t scientific proof that cats actually “talk” to each other the way humans do, but it’s very hard to deny the theory after watching this video. If there two aren’t having a conversation, I’ll be a monkey’s uncle! What do you think they were saying?

How sweet! We have a cat that really talks to my husband: the other day at the vet, he (the cat) started a conversation in the waiting room and surprised all the other people who were there with their pet.

very cute but the sounds are quite repetitive unless they are actually saying one or two words in kitten speak. ie wanna groom me?

My cat I had for 12.5 yrs actually spoke English. Yep English and one of the sentences he would say was as clear as you saying it to me was........' where are you?'' You see I had another kitten when i got him too from the Vet and called her a name which she wouldnt really come too and after a year or so I d call her then add ' Where areeeeee you?' after her name. She would come when called by this name. When she suddenly died of lung cancer at 4yrs old he was devastated and two years after that he was standing on the end of my bed one night when i was reading and he said ' where areeeee you' very very clearly. Well the long and short of it, it would call her all the time this short sentence and in the end he would then learn more. He was a Bombay x Burmese. My first cat also spoke too. He would say clearly Hello like WE do and also Nooooooooo and make a sound for yes but never at any other time.
Animals are so cool. You really have to listen and you cant say oh...she/he kinda sounds like its saying this or that, They really sound like us. Not all cats can b/c most have different voice boxes whereas siamese, burmese and bombays, have different voice boxes to others.

Very cute! I know animals can "talk"- to think they can't communicate is just silly. Of course they can communicate. Humans didn't suddenly wake up one day able to communicate, we evolved our current form of language. Cells communicate with each other. Ants communicate with pheremones. I think reality is one big dance of communication. But my cat "talks" to me all the time. I think she ignores a lot of my extraneous human blathering and focuses on what really matters: "cuddle", "treat", "food", "nap", "here" and her name. Really, what else does she need to pay attention to? :)

European Petition Against Cruelty to Animals. and If everybody here signs, the petition will be completed. There is no shame in helping animals, you have to react when someone does something wrong. Signing the petitions is nice and easy in the opposite to how milions of animals are treated everyday in the whole world. One million signatures are needed under each petition. Announcements, posters, will also help.
