The Kindness Revolution Day 29: An Anniversary Picnic

My husband and I are celebrating our twelfth anniversary today.† We actually celebrate three anniversaries:† the day we met, the day we exchanged our vows on the beach in the Canary Islands, and the day we legally married.† Today is the anniversary of exchanging the vows we wrote declaring our love for and commitment to each other.† So, it seems a natural fit that today’s gift be for my wonderful husband.

Curtis is the most kind and caring person I know.† After twelve years I couldn’t be happier than I am to share life with him. So today I’m making all kinds of delicious foods, packing a picnic, and we’re heading off to a beach on Vancouver Island to celebrate our anniversary together.

You may not be celebrating an anniversary today, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pack a picnic and ask a friend, family member or someone you care about to join you.† Or give in an altogether different way…whatever feels best for you.

Today is the final day of my 29 days of giving.† However, it’s been so great and has brought me so much joy that I plan to continue gift-giving.† I hope you will too.† The Kindness Revolution continues as long as we make an effort to be kinder, more caring, and more generous versions of ourselves.† The ripple effect is wide-reaching and who knows how these simple acts of giving can change the world.

If youíre just joining us for the Kindness Revolution, Iíve been trying to spread kindness in the world by giving 29 gifts in 29 days, inspired by the book 29 Gifts.† And, Iíve asked you to join me.† If youíre just tuning in, check out the first blog in this series.† And, don’t forget that it’s never too late to join the Kindness Revolution.† Start today!

kindness helps the world go around. people should not be sorry they met/ran into you! a smile costs nothing. saying please and thank-you are/should be a no brainer.

This was a great way to think about daily gifts, kindness and caring! I have done many things suggested, added some of my own, and tried hard, but didn't succeed daily! It's been a fun "project" sorry it's over, looked for your suggestions daily. Enjoy your anniversary !
