What Kind of Foodie Are You & More on Urban Homesteading

Listen, laugh & learn with the Green Divas (and Green Dude Scott) anytime – Podcast here!

Green Diva Lisa blew back into town and we had all the mics lit up for this show. As always too much to talk about in an hour, but we had fun discussing a recent poll we published on the Green Divas facebook page that asked, “if you HAD to pick one category to describe your style of eating . . . ” the options were:

  • Total Foods – love it all
  • Organic Omnivore
  • Locavore
  • Vegan
  • Vegetarian
  • Raw Foodie
  • Junke Foodie
  • (one smart poll-taker write in Gluten Free)

Please feel free to join in the GD facebook poll or otherwise, please weigh in here on this Care2 post if you prefer not to visit facebook.

Otherwise, we had a wonderful report from GD Sandy from New York City, who talked about an exciting new fuel company making renewable fuels from all kinds of nasty toxic stuff – turning it into a cleaner burning and more efficient fuel source.

Our feature interview was with Rodman Shley, the host of upcoming TV series The Urban Conversion, who has a lot of news to report from the world of urban homesteading and the interesting folks he’s meeting while starring in the TV show.

As always, too much information – find a list of resources and links related to this info-packed show at the Green Divas website.

Hope you’ll listen to this re-broadcast!

I eat real food. Mostly fresh, organic, mostly local. No white sugar, white flour or processed food. I can't believe the difference it's made in my health.

I'm a vegetarian, and if I can ever find the right protein powder(I drink a lot(270 grams of protein worth), that's not high in sodium or cholesterol, or raises estrogen, then I can become a vegan too!

None of the choices fit me either. Organic Omnivore fits best, but I rarely eat non-vegetarian. Mostly I eat whole foods. And most of us here eat really healthy. Oh well, too many types of diets to list them all.
