It soon will be against the law to chain up a dog in Fulton County. Fulton joined Cobb, DeKalb, Gwinnett and other counties when it recently passed legislation making it illegal to put a dog on a "chain, rope, leash, tie out, or wire designed to

Having your dog on a chain in the yard should only be to give it some fresh air - if and ONLY if your yard is not completely fenced. My dog - Madison - is allowed the freedom of the whole yard - but I keep an eye on her. They're like kids - they need to run off their energy and have fresh air - but they can also get into mischief if not watched.

THIS IS GREAT EVERY PLACE NEEDS TO PUT A BAN ON TETHERING IT IS SO INHUMANE. DOGS DESERVE BETTER. THEY BELONG IN THE HOUSE WITH THE FAMILY AFTER ALL THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE, FAMILY.

I have 5 dogs, and none of them is tied or prisoner! They go through their space in a forbidden area and walk set free! Or then they are inside the house. When I take them walking, and the confusion is great, I go for sieges where I know that there is not going to be confusion with another dogs and go for the mountain and they walk set free and free, without problems! No dog or any another animal must be imprisoned and to be deprived of his freedom! Then this new law seems to me very appropriate, finally!

I don't have dogs but I would never tether them if I did-I don't collar or leash my cats-they are on command and that works perfectly. No animal should be chained or tethered. Very good news-this law--and it should be followed in kind by every other locale.
